A great iron
We had a Philips iron for approximately 10 years that finally gave up the ghost about 6 months ago. We purchased a cheaper replacement initially but it made the ironing harder work for several reasons so came back to Philips and haven't been disappointed. Use it for a lot of heavy material uniforms and it makes short work, the cord is a great length too.

I Would recommend
My original purchase had to be returned as it was faulty and the water leeked everywhere, since receiving a new iron I am more than pleased with this product, I use it for every day use, the stream function is very powerful, water tank is more than large enough one full tank will easily last half hour, glides with ease, very happy with it

Excellent results great iron.
This iron is lightweight and easy to use I worked on a professional steam press in a dry cleaners and this iron gives just as good results its steam boost button is powerful great for stubborn creases, and it was a bargain price.

I choose the purple one, It's okay for the price
I bought the purple one which makes it easier to see how much water there is in it. I would have preferred a longer cord as it's only just long enough . There's no water cup or cord clip, so if you have one on your old iron use that one. Weightwise it is quite light, which I was looking for and sizewise it's good. It doesn't iron as well as my old philips iron which was a bit heavier. I don't like the water refill cap as it opens sideways, which is annoying when trying to pour the water in. As for the safe store box, well that's fine if there's room for it, but I had to dispense with that as it was too tall for my cupboard shelf... hardly a selling feature. It does heat up very quickly and does have an automatic cut out when it's rested on it's heel.. all in all it's okay... Will see how long this one lasts.

Replacement under warranty also broke
Philips replaced the original I bought as the plastic lid to the water tank has two tiny little plastic lugs to create a water tight seal and one of these broke. The result was every time I ironed, clothes were soaked due to the angle of the water tank lid. After a few months the replacement iron that was sent has also developed the same problem. It’s a really poor design and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. I won’t be getting another.

More foot spa than iron for clothes ...
Does what an Iron should ... and some of what it should not!Pretty box to keep it in (if you drain all the water every time ... bit pointless as I have come to learn the hard way that unless you want to buy a new Iron every 2 years, then one has to use DI water ... I live in a very hard water area). 2.5m cord, is helpful as 2m just too short for bigger items, like duvet covers.Misleading info on the product "drip stop" ... yeah, right! Every time you go upright and sit it on it's base, it pees water everywhere, then dribbles on the clothes ... and your toes. Makes an acceptable foot spa.

Ideal steam iron
Perfect iron for me, it's not too heavy when full and steams ell. So far I use the eco setting and that's fine for me. I like the storage box but won't put the iron init until it cools down although they say you can. Just one thing, there isn't a waterjug for filling.

Big Improvement Over Previous Iron
My wife seems to like this iron, although she hates the job of ironing! If it gets the job done more quickly than her previous one, she'll be even more happy.
