A Year of Miracles: Daily Devotions and Reflections (The Marianne Williamson Series)

I have been a fan of Marianne Williamson since early 2000s when I discovered her first book "A Return to Love". I had been looking for a daily devotional book when I found this and bought it immediately. 44 days in and I know I made the right decision as I totally love it! To me the daily devotions seem based on some of her teachings on A Course in Miracles, so it's great to see that connection as I do have the text but have not started reading it. What I'm finding is each morning if I wake up with a negative thought, or if something is bothering me from the night before, the daily devotion will give me some kind of answer or perspective. Marianne is truly an enlightened master and I don't know her from Adam, don't know her character in real life, but what I do know is that her message speaks to me in a way that other religious texts have not. And because of that, I am able to view religion and religious texts (the Bible mainly) in a different light or through different eyes. A few friends have asked me what book I'm using as sometimes I post the devotions on IG so that's saying something. I would however, only recommend this book if you're familiar, even somewhat, with her teachings on A Course in Miracles or have read some of her other books, otherwise you may struggle a little, or may not understand, or it may not speak to you in the same way. I can't say for certain, but that's just my view. Either way, if you're reading this review then you are at the start of a wonderful journey and will probably have been guided here by your intuition. So trust it to guide you to the right book / daily practice that works for you (I struggle with meditation so this works for me) and is able to offer you what you NEED. Don't base your decision on what others think, as only you know what's best for you. All the best... X

This is a lovely book of daily devotions. They are not overly long or overly religious, so should appeal to a wide cross section of readers. There is a usually a few paragraphs, sometimes with a little prayer at the end often about loving yourself and others. Just all round good vibes to start or end your day.

Mariane has arguably the best grasp of anyone of the the principles ACIM teaches. She puts its messages across in a way that is easy to understand - to the point where I would recommend reading her book A return to Love before embarking on a Course in Miracles. This new book gets 5 stars - it is a superb daily guide to ground me and remind me of my essence of pure love each day when I wake up. Highly recommended.

I have started it on the 01 of June and will do 365 days from there. I have done something similar with OG Mandino's ten scrolls and 40 day journey with Dietrich Bonnhoeffer. I'm expecting the same thing and it is a year long experience that I'm adding to my spiritual journey.

I ordered 2 copies both of us love Marianne Williamson, and still read Illuminata on a dialy basis. A Year of Miracles combines the beauty and clarity of Reutrn to Love, with the fundamentals of a Course in Miracles, yet presented in a very easy to read but beauitifully written daily segments.

Excellent book

These are very deep and profound words and invite us to make radical changes in our lives. It was life giving to read these words and encouraging to live this new life of love and joy.

Marriane Williamson taught me how to pray, through this book. The purity, selflessness and devotion through which she calls God is spectacular. It is truly a book of miracles. If you can try and read 1-2 quotes everytime you're feeling low, your life will transform! You don't even need to follow a sequence - just flip to a random page, you will be amazed how every message just resonates with you. :)
