A good solid value for the money compared to others in the same class
Comparing to other film scanners, plus a timely coupon and free shipping, I am very happy with the price and for the most part, the product. The shipping was unbelievably fast, I ordered it on a Sunday night and was on my doorstep Monday afternoon! I like the progress they have made with the built-in option buttons, brightness, contrast, color, etc., but it took a little time getting it set up to use, as the instructions came as a 3" x 3" booklet with the type so small I needed a magnifying glass to see, and it appeared the type was printed in gray, not black, so you are left to simply playing around with all the buttons until you get it to work. I guess you have to format the chip too. Once you have the settings where you want them, you can get to work and scan slides pretty quick, but you need to set it up like an assembly line so your first slide gets pushed through by the next ones.

quick and easy!
Got this last week, spent hours and hours scanning old slides and film negatives. Easy operation, intuitive controls, small size. 35 mm slides go really fast, just advance each image through the holder, quick and easy. Slides of course have to be loaded individually, but scan is quick. I have expensive scanners that have better image quality, but scanning takes forever. Not with this little gem! Family is really enjoying the look back in time, the images remind me of loved ones long passed and sweet times from our younger days. Really glad I found this item!

Inadequate Instructions and Illustrations
Received on a Friday. User guide was faded and basically could not be read and evidently not available on line. This necessitated trial by error. Once the process was determined, it was slow, tedious and not very user friendly. Attempted to call manufacturer help line but not available on Friday or weekends. Overall a very disappointing purchase and will probably return the item.

great way to save your old memories
Does a fantastic job saving my old 35mm slides. the only thing tat would make it better would be to include a slide advance tool.

GREAT Just Great
I read the reviews before I purchased this and then again after. The only thing I can agree with on the negative side is that the instructions were too small to read so I had to wing it. Once I started scanning all of my husbands' fathers' slides, I thought it was going to take forever. The quality was good then I figured out how to set it to make it so much better. We had different sizes of slides and I figured out how to make them scan faster. Instructions need to be bigger! Once I was done I started posting some of the pics to social media. All of our close and extended family went NUTS! I made a special album just for them and they have been commenting and loving it for a week! Once you put in the first slide, leave the bracket in and you can just slide one behind the other. Very fast. We did about 250 slides in a 3 hour period!

To like, the original purpose to digitize 35mm negatives
To like, the original purpose to digitize 35mm negatives, B&W, color negs & positives, the scanner did accomplish. But on the short side, the instructions which are nearly impossible to read, suffer, and consequently, a lot is left to continual user trial -and-error figuring the correct sequence of button pushing to actuate a successful transfer. Additionally, the power to the unit would choose to shut down in the middle of operation rather randomly. Again inconvenience! The storage capacity of the the device is reasonable, but nothing realistic, and there is no all-inclusive way to delete stored files once transfer to storage is completed Google Drive, or disc or memory card except to manually delete each file Separately. The value modulators are inconclusive, as is the resolution settings of the viewable frame, so here, is guesswork as to what is truly being saved to file as master. In light of devices costing many times more, this model is certainly a value and gets the job done, but not without a worry whether what you’re creating is worth the final effort. Definitely, look for a storage solution that makes value sense as opposed to investing in pricey memory cards- we’re trying Google Drive with our email add/ account which gives a fair chunk of free storage and can be accessed across the web on different devices with your account. Good luck!

Does the job pretty well
Purchased this to archive a lot of memories from both sides of the family. I knew going in it would be a bit tedious as it does one slide at a time, but I'm able to get a lot done in not a lot of time. While not perfect, it does the job pretty well. You must understand the quality of your slides will determine the quality of the scan. I'm glad to be able to have electronic versions for future generations.

Not what you would expect
I could write a three-page review of this contraption. But it’s not worth the effort, or my time. Take it from someone who was part of the inception of digital photography, and helped make it what it is today. This thing is junk. No need to sugar-coat it. Just don’t bother with it. I was looking for a way to scan Kodachrome slides that have been kept in perfect condition and range from the mid 1950s to 2010. It is a disappointment.I knew the 22-megapixel resolution was interpolated, but after trying this device with well over 200 slides from old to new, I personally feel that the claimed 14-megapixel “native” resolution is interpolated as well. I have a 14 MP SLR, and there is no comparison between the camera and this scanner. The scanner has no dynamic range (slides come out overexposed in the highlights and underexposed in low light areas) and the graininess, caused by noise due to the gain being applied to the CMOS sensor is atrocious. May as well hold up your slide to daylight and look at it with a magnifying glass; it’ll be more satisfying than wasting time scanning and looking at horrible results.Sorry to disappoint. This thing is a waste of time and Amazon should vaporize the listing.

Great Scanner
Very pleased with the simplicity of this slide scanner and it's results. The fact that it has it's own built in viewer and was ready to use right out of the box without any hook up except for plugging it into a 110 outlet and the insertion of an SD card makes it very user friendly. You could easily scan 200 - 300 slides an hour.- actually as fast as you can "push" the slides through, look at the monitor, and push a button. Highly recommended.

Converts slides and negatives easily.
Works as described in a fairly quick process. Limited adjust-ability of the conversion quality. Expected a much higher resolution when looking at results. Often too much contrast in spite of excellent results when seen with a projector.Expected more for this price. Results are acceptable, not great.

Sooooo happy I purchased the more expensive Scanner.
Simple and easy to use. Fast to load and I particularly like the correction feature as it does try hard to make corrections to exposure as best it can on very old and pour quality slides. The internal program to allow us to make colour corrections is available on screen but it does take time. Wonderful product and recommended.
