iloome Google Nexus 5 ScreenMate LightTempered Glass Screen Protector

So I bought this for my nexus 5 because on the iloome website said that it was scratch resistant, smudge resistant and shatter proof. ALL THREE OF THOES CLAIMS ARE WRONG!!!!! I noticed night away as soon as I applied the screen protector that any touch to the screen left a smudge or a fingerprint. Not only that, the smudges were very hard to clean off. I needed to use a microfiber cloth and some special screen cleaner to remove the smallest of smudges. Also it seemed that if you tried to buff out the smudges with your sleeve they would only get worse. Next I noticed that small scratches started to appear. These small scratches turned into larger ones and they just kept getting larger and more noticeable. I found it very odd indeed that it would scratch so easily since it was supposed to be 9h hardness. Simply grazing the screen with my finger nail would leave a scratch. Then just the other day I had my phone in my backpack on the bus,keep in mind that my backpack was also packed with sweatshirts, and when I got home the screen protector was absolutely shattered. I looked in the pocket my phone was in and there were no sharp or hard objects whatsoever. Overall I am very disappointed with this screen protector and I would definitely not recommend this product. On top of all of those problems, it was expensive I bought it for $28. I will post a picture of the broken screen protector. Put this screen protector on my Nexus 5 and it went on perfectly. No bubbles and looks fantastic. It is essentially like having no screen protector as it feels like the glass screen of the phone. Unfortunately, after about a month and a half, it developed a two pronged crack around the circular speaker opening at the top. I handle my device carefully, especially since I paid full price for the phone and do not have insurance on it. I do not understand how the crack developed the phone sits alone in my pocket with no keys or other things with it. Other than that, it sits charging on my desk. I like this particular protector so much I'm considering another iLoome, but due to the high price(as is the case with most glass screen protectors), I may consider another brand. Not sure yet.

Amazing product! I am so glad I went with the tempered glass. Not only did it come earlier than expected, but the quality of the glass is really sllliiiiiiiick. The screen will be slight sticky at first, but after using it for a little it'll break in and be smooth as butter. I simply cannot get over the slickness of this sp. plastic ones do not compare to the quality of these glass protectors. It's a delight picking up my phone in the morning and feeling the coldness of that silky smooth glass screen protector and knowing that the quality of my protection is top notch classy.Thanks iloome, a wonderful product.Aaron

Easy and buble-free instalation, cloth qulity is rather pure but. I like it has the only one cutout for speaker. I can compare it with Nilkin glass on my wife's moto g and nillkin feels more smoothly. Both has nice edges. For me it also has not enough oleophobic coating.Glass feels very nice, near the same to original nexus gorilla and it's almost invisible on the phone.

Worst bang for my buck... Don't be fooled by initial installation...I purchased the iloome 9h screen protector for an outrageous price. Once received, installation was easy enough.I was initially satisfied because there weren't any airbubbles or other imperfecrions. This moment of flawlessness lasted about 9 days. Then the adhesive begame undone on the top lefthand corner. This was enough to warrant for the removal of the screen protector. But i waited. Next more airbubbles began to surface. Ugly ugly ugly. I weathered on a bit further and dropped my device from a minimal fall which resulted in substantial cracking on the screen protector. My personal ranking 0-10? I'll give it a 1. It lasted 9 days. Considering the outrageous price, I will never invest in a product by them again. These are my experiences. Your experiences may vary.

I used it for about 2 weeks, dropped my phone and hoped that the crack was only in the screen protector. It wasn't, my screen protector took less damage than the actual screen. This morning, I am sending my phone off for $175 screen repair and my ScreenMate is toast too. That makes the cost of the screen feel like $200. This is nothing more than a scratch guard. For scratches and daily use it's not bad but there are cheaper alternatives.
