Consider this one first.
The moment you pick up the package it is clear that this is a quality item. For a start, it is heavy - no compromise on the aluminium sections - but the weight is mainly in the platform (as it should be). The two ladder sections are light and easy to handle. This unit has obviously been designed to a high specification by an engineer, not a marketing man. Everything fits together with such a satisfying precision that the half-hour initial assembly is quite satisfying. Thereafter the three sections can be taken apart and re-assembled in a couple of minutes. The unit is stable in all its configurations - the platform mode especially. One nice touch is the array of safety instructions bonded to the ladder frame, showing what and what not to do in the various configurations. It appears that (despite the German-sounding name) this is manufactured in the UK, and it is immensely better than cheaper Asian imports. Definitely worth the money.
