Fox and Simpson Burnley Walnut Pendulum Clock with Westminster Chimes, Wood, 31x10x60 cm

On closer examination, during the assembly, it would seem the clock face has been positioned lopsided making the hands slightly out of true alignment with the minute and hour marks. The inside of the case has a finger-nail size mark at the back which has been patched up with filler or something and then touched up with dark varnish to hide it from casual observation. The top hinge on the inside of the door is bent/twisted. The brass effect knob on the door is slightly marked. The pendulum has slight scratches on it, here and there, and - just to round it off - there's a slight mark on the clock face. Apart from that, it's all right. Aargh!!! Oh, I forgot; when the clock is hung on the wall, the clock case feels unstable. This is because it rocks sideways when opening the clock door... the reason being is that there is an 1/8 " thick plastic piece at the top where (I think)?one of the batteries goes. This part might better have been flush or inset in the back but unfortunately stands proud above the surface of it causing the problem.Maybe it's time quality control did their job a little bit better!

Actually it’s very goog value, the wooden case I received was well made and the quartz clock and electronic chime work well. The over night no chime feature works well and the chime of the hours is again fine. I like the fact that you can adjust the volume and the clock does not have a loud tick that you get with mechanical clocks. The chime sound is much better than I expected.

Clock arrived quickly well packed well. I have it in our back hall and it works and sounds lovely. I have hung it in our back hall. This clocks is very good value.

Lovely clock space saving and it chimes just like a full grandfather clock.
