I ordered a pair for myself. I have a 35" waist, but the pair I received would fit around a 32" maybe even a 30". Mine are now in the bin.

Hello Maria, I would take 3XL for you a 42" - it might be enough - but be aware. I bought these and after the first wash in +30°c, that pants shrunk alot. I am usually positive, but the fact that I know the "after washing result in as low as +30°c makes me doubt if I should recommend purchase at all. Otherwise they were warm and nice. Until the laundry.
