Why is this gritty? Is that normal?

It’s a mineral. I think that’s why they often put thickeners like carrageenan and gums into liquid magnesium supplements to cover the grit. I prefer this without the unhealthy additives.

Is this the same as magnesium citrate liquid that was used for constipation & colonoscopy prep?
