Q: Is the silicone coating on the flysheet on both the outside and the inside? Or is the coating only on the inside and on the inside PU coating?

Hello Kevin,The silicone coating is only on the outside from the flysheet. When both side, it is the taped seams not possible. In this way the water column would be very low. Therefore, only the outside. And through the water column is very high.

Q: is this a single layer or double layer tent?

Hi. This tent has an inner tent with separate fly sheet. I'm a scout leader so I camp a lot. This is the best tent for the money I've ever had. Stays firm in a force 10 gale and fits in a back pack no problem.

Q: Is the fly really waterproof to 10 k mm ?

Well, this is according to the manufacturer'spec, yes. BUT to be truthful I only purchased the tent quite recently and have not used it in rain yet. As soon as I do, I will be sure to update my review. I have no reason at this stage to suspect that it won't withstand moderate rain conditions, however. Sorry I can't be of real help on this. Yet.
