Cheap solution
The item is fine. It was bought for a Peugeot 307 cc, and I removed the key blades by drifting out the roll pin on both old and new keys, and tapping it back in to secure the old blade to the new key. Quite fiddly, but I got there in the end.Otherwise, it was just a case of hacking out some superfluous plastic mouldings, and transferring over the internal module.Huge saving over buying a new key from Peugeot! In fact, I've ordered another to refurbish my second key.EDIT: Second key arrived in good time, and I went through the same process, switching the key blades and swapping the internal module to the new case. The module had lost its programming, so I had to reprogram it, and now I have two fully functional plip keys, all for about a fiver. If anyone's interested, this is how to reprogram a 307 cc plip key:1. Insert your working key in the ignition, and turn it to the first position (very slight turn, and no dashboard lights illuminate)2. Hold the key to be programmed near the rear view mirror, and hold the 'lock' button down for ten seconds.3. Release the button, and remove the other key from the ignition.4. Wait ten seconds, then test the reprogrammed key. It should now be able to lock and unlock the car remotely.5. If not, repeat the whole procedure.6. If, after several tries, it still doesn't work, you might need a new battery. A visit to a Peugeot dealer should get it working for less than a tenner.Hope this helps somebody.

Does not have battery housing.
The flip botton had broke on my old fob, all the other buttons work fine. Therefore, I only needed to replace one side of the casing, the side with the flip button and battery housing, not the 3 button side. However, not all fixed parts of the replacment key fob are there. There is no battery housing in the replacement key fob (see pics, it is missing), this is a permanently fixed part of the design (see pics) and cannot be transfered from the old fob. Therefore, the replacement case has no where to hold the battery in place and is useless for my purposes.

Good Product
Good shell case but I know I shall have difficulty getting the blank key cut.I would much rather have been able to swap the key blank and insert my own key.It was only the key case that I really needed.I know how to swap the insides but am rather nervous about swapping the keys over.Any help from anyone else would be appreciated.

I've got a Peugeot 307cc and the insides of my remote fit but don't sit exactly right in the same way as original does resulting in when I close the unit together something is making the units buttons being activated possibly more than one at the same time so when I used it seemed to work okay to open and lock doors but when I tried to start the car the immobiliser would not let me start the car so I had to put the internals back into my original case and hey presto no problems

Good value for money
Brought this, along with my original key (that the casing had broken on) to a local key cutter. An hour later I had a new key in a new casing.Well worth the money spent on it.It does feel a little cheaply made, and it's a bit sensitive when it comes to springing out (the key, that is. It often springs out when it's in my pocket, etc.) but for the price paid and the value for money, I'd have to give it a 5 star review. Certainly helped me out and I'd not hesitate to buy again if I needed another one.

New Key body
The key shell case is almost right, with little of work I can place the circuit in itThe key is easy to change in the case, the needle pin is so small

My key now works like new, I am very happy with this product
Open the casing and you will see that the blade is held by a small pin. You need to tap out this pin to remove the blade, which just pulls out. Repeat this on your existing key and fit your blade to the new case. Transfer the electronics from the old to the new case, press the two halves together to finish the job.My key now works like new, I am very happy with this product.
