Great product! In recent years I've been suffering from a really flaky, itchy scalp and have tried numerous shampoos to combat the problem, on a trial-and-error basis.I have found that products with the Ketoconazole ingredient leave my hair feeling dried out and brittle after use, however, this product which contains Selenium Sulphide as the active ingredient and it really does the trick; my scalp feels much better after the first wash and I don't experience the dry brittle hair after continued use.

Like most I’m looking for a replacement for Selsun after the firm was taking over by a French company and the 2.5 product was removed.I don’t have dandruff I get dry red marks on my face from time to time, Selsun was the only product that cleared it up. So far I’ve only used regal a few times but the affects are showing just a little slower but this is listed a 1% selenium sulfide so that’s expected. Time will tell if this is a replacement for Selsun at least what I needed from Selsun

This shampoo was recommended by our veterinary dermatologist as a useful alternative to that very expensive prescription only shampoo (which begins with 'M'). It works a treat on the dog, who has atopic dermatitis and has to be bathed very regularly. It leaves his coat silky soft, and seems very effective in managing his skin condition - apparently Selenium Sulphide is the 'magic ingredient'. I alternate this shampoo with the prescription one, but this is so much easier and nicer to use (to say nothing of it being a quarter of the price!). Just be very careful not to get it in the eyes.In the interests of research, I've also used it on my own oily/dandruffy scalp with good results, although I purchased it primarily for the dog.

Not the same as selsun... Didn't work for me but I believe its because its weaker than selsun.

When L'Oréal made the baffling decision to stop selling their intensive anti-dandruff with selenium, I'm sure I wasn't the only one scouring the internet for places that had stocks of it, to buy as many as I could. Eventually though, stocks did run out and the extremely itchy scalp I've suffered for decades, and which only that shampoo could fix, out of hundreds I tried, came back with a vengeance. I came across this product in one of my periodic searches, and gave it a try -- halleluia! It works! Quick, get as many as you can before they discontinue this one as well!!

This is a good product that helps and was delivered extremely efficiently.

Bought this as it contains Selenium Sulphide, and was reccomended by another user as a replacement for L'Oreal Elvive's Men's Anti Dandruff shampoo, which has been sadly discontinued. Unfortunately, I found this wasn't the case.I found it a disappointing purchase - it made my dandruff worse, gave me skin reactions on my scalp over time, and didn't have the effects I hoped for.I've now started using Vichy Dercos Anti-dandruff shampoo, and it's an excellent Elvive replacement, even the colour and scent is the same!This shampoo is worth a try for those with less sensitive skin than me, but it's not an Elvive replacement by any means!

Soy de esas personas que da igual cuanto se cuide la cabeza, hay en muchísimos periodos de mi vida que he tenido caspa persistente y de una manera que me ha generado muchísima inseguridad. Como hace un año, empecé de nuevo a tener muchísima caspa, nivel lavarme la cabeza y a las doce horas tener el cuero cabelludo totalmente descamado. Me gasté muchísimo dinero en probar muchísimos champús comerciales y nada de nada, me arriesgaría a decir que hasta me emporaron el problema.Como otra gente que ha usado este champú, me acordaba de que el Elvive S Active hace años me funcionó muy bien, pero ya no lo venden, por lo que me puse a buscar champús medicalizados con el mismo principio y di con este.La verdad que la experiencia los primeros días no fue muy allá, los dos primeros días no agité el bote y el champú salía azul chillón, y honestamente no me hacía nada, seguía con el mismo problema. Al leer las instrucciones detenidamente, veo que pone claramente que hay que agitarlo intensamente antes de usarlo. Aquí viene mi única queja, dichas instrucciones, no vienen en castellano. La única pegatina que le han puesto en castellano es para hablar de lo bien que te va a quedar el pelo, pero no pone lo más importante, agítalo o el principio activo se quedará abajo. Si el champú está bien agitado, el color pasará de azul intenso a un verde apagado. Tras empezar a agitarlo, empecé a notar resultados muy muy evidentes.Si que he de decir que yo lo estoy usando a diario, pero no lo dejo actuar los 2 minutos que indica, probablemente lo dejo entorno a un minuto. El motivo es que si lo dejo más, noto como se me irrita el cuero cabelludo, no es nada exagerado, pero como al dejarlo 1 minuto me está funcionando, prefiero evitar la irritación.En cuanto a los resultados, lo más significativo para mi es que ya no me pica la cabeza! incluso si por lo que sea estoy sin lavarme la cabeza 1 día. Antes el picor me aparecía a las 12 horas, ahora la verdad que ni un solo día me ha picado desde la segunda semana de uso.En cuanto a la cantidad de caspa, no me la ha eliminado del todo, pero ya no es visible en cantidades industriales, en líneas generales, me arriesgaría a decir que salvo que me sacuda intencionadamente el pelo, no se aprecia nada de caspa. El punto en el que estaba antes de usar el champú era que tras sacudirme los hombros tardaba 15 minutos en volver a tenerlos igual sin haberme tocado el pelo.En resumidas cuentas, estoy muy contento, es verdad que es caro, pero es el único champú que me ha conseguido arreglar el problema. En mi caso me irrita ligeramente el cuero cabelludo si lo dejo actuar mucho, pero nada exagerado. Y recuerda agitarlo antes de usarlo!!

Gebruik het 2 á 3 keer per week, ook het gezicht, wenkbrauwen en eventuele baard en laat het 3 minuten intrekken. Mag volgens de handleiding niet gebruikt worden bij een ontstoken huid.Mocht het niet of voldoende werken, haal dan bij de apotheek Selsun shampoo met 2,5% Selenium Sulfiden.
