Fantastic Roof Rack! Simple to Assemble and Well Built
I have wanted a rack for the top of my Jeep for some time now and necessity being the mother of Amazon purchases: I ordered and just received my WILDROAD Roof Rack Cargo Basket, Upgraded 4” Fence Car Roof Basket with Extension, 64"x 39"x 4" version today, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The entire experience, from unboxing to assembly, was a breeze. It took me only about ten minutes to put the rack together, and everything fit together seamlessly; I laid out the four sections, brought the middle section together with an effortless fit. Then brought the front and the rear sections to the middle section - no effort, no forced alignment - it simply all fit together. The holes lined up perfectly, and the supplied screws were more than enough—one extra included, which is always a nice touch. The assembly process was incredibly straightforward and could easily be completed by one person in under 15 minutes. Because there was no struggle with fitting parts or needing any adjustments, it was a hassle-free experience. I have to admit, I didn’t take any photos of the assembly because it went together so quickly that I didn’t even think to grab my camera before I was finished!Once assembled, the rack looks amazing—streamlined, sturdy, and sleek. It’s a solid, well-built piece of equipment that feels like it’ll stand the test of time, and it really adds a great look to my vehicle. When it stops snowing I'll see about a picture of it on the Jeep.A quick note on the scuffs mentioned in other reviews: Yes, there were some very minor scuffs on mine as well, but they do not expose any bare metal, and most of them came off with just a quick wipe from a cloth. These types of marks are typical with shipping and handling, and I honestly don’t think they detract from the overall quality of the product. If you’re expecting perfect cosmetic condition, you might be disappointed, but if you’re after a well-built, functional, and great-looking rack, you won’t regret it.In summary, I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. The WILDROAD Roof Rack is easy to assemble, looks fantastic, and is clearly built to last. Thank you WILDROAD for making my roads a little less wild. (Okay I'm sorry.. it was just there... I digress) Five Stars Plus! Highly recommended!

Worked exactly how I needed it
This worked great for my trip from NH to NC.I paired the rack with brightlines crossbars (bought on Amazon as well), which were recommended for my model of car many times in a forum I’m in. I measured the top of my car/cross bar trackings and went with the 64”, which was the perfect size for a 2019 grand cherokee.I put the rack together on my own, had a friend assist me in getting the rack on top of my grand cherokee, and tightened all the brackets on my own. Instructions were clear and I felt confident in doing everything on my own (5’6” female). I drove around with it for a few days before my trip and felt it was secure and it was not noisy. Even with the bag on, it was not super noisy. As far as the bag: it was easy to install, zip, and hook all the straps to the rack. The back straps proved to be a little harder, only because I didn’t have a step stool and stood on the back bumper which isn’t super safe. I felt it was secure with the straps that attach to the bag, but added an extra ratchet strap for the second half of my drive since the highway speeds would be higher. I tucked the excess side straps in my doors but every now and then they would flap in the wind and make noise (just annoying) so next time I’ll tie/tuck them under the bag. It rained for the last half of my drive (8 hours) and everything inside stayed dry! It held A LOT and probably could’ve held more vertically, but some of duffle bags were very full and heavy and I didn’t want to go over the weight limit.I definitely recommend the whole set up - rack and bag. I originally was going to get a roof bag without a rack, but this gave me much more peace of mind that my stuff wasn’t going to fly off my car, and was super easy to build and install.

Best Rack On The Market
Prior to purchasing this setup we used a different brand roof bag that worked well. With our cross bars the bag was pushed up where the bars were, limiting the space. Went ahead and got this setup with the bag becuase we liked that the WildRoad matched on the rack and bag and the color of this bag matched our vehicle. The rack itself got the bag off the car allowing full packing potential, and pack it we did. This held 2 full size suitcases, a carry on, 2 queen sized sleeping bags, a camp grill with propane, 2 queen, air mattresses, 2 heavy blankets, 4 pillows, 2 large folding chairs and several other random items. The setup was very easy and loading items into the bag was also very easy. Since we’d used a bag on top before getting the straps to be the right tightness was a breeze. I used the same rubber bands that came in the kit to rubber band the end of the straps, once done, to keep them from blowing in the wind.We drove 1810 miles over 9 days, totaling 27 hours from Houston to Big Bend to Dallas back to Houston. There was zero noise, nothing shifted, the straps stayed secure. I’d thought there would naturally be noise, I was wrong, not a peep the entire time. We went off roading several times with the setup up on top and it still handled like a champ. We also love the look of the rack and will be keeping it up top when not traveling. It also rained heavily up in Dallas and everything remained dry. If you are looking for a setup like this, look no further, this is the one. Buy with confidence.
