Great flavour
Being a 1970s West Country girl I used to get Easter biscuits from the shops when I was young and the chemists would advertise outside if they had Oil of Cassia in stock. This is the real flavour from back then but the recipe provided needs substantially more cassia than stated to get the strength of flavour. I use 25 drops per batch and bake at 170c for fifteen minutes and they’re consistently good. At that rate I estimate there’s about four batches worth in a bottle. Please note during lockdown I made these without egg yolks and added a little milk and yellow food colouring, I believe that’s all the yolks contribute (colour) and are pretty unnecessary apart from that.

Perfect for making Easter biscuits
I’ve used this produce often to make the most delicious Easter biscuits. When I ordered two bottles this year only one was received. The supplier reacted swiftly to put this right and the second bottle arrived quickly, proving them to be a very reliable source.

Perfect Easter Biscuits
I bought this for my Easter Biscuits and it adds the perfect flavour. It's not great value as you only use a few drops for a batch of biscuits so most of the bottle will go in the bin by it's sell by date but an Easter Biscuit without oil of cassia isn't the same
