It is a nice crock, and I wanted to use it for Kombucha- it works mostly well, except the top is tapered in and DOES NOT have a lip like the picture shows, so I had to place a large rubber band under the cloth before I placed one over it. It has worked so far. I like the aesthetic design of it (it looks really nice!) and it feels like it will be sturdy. I’m just hoping the rubber band holds!

In less than a year, the inside glaze was disintegrating into a powdery residue that was visible in the water! The interior has changed from smooth to rough. Buyer beware!

I have only had this a few weeks, but I’m pleased with the quality and the feel of the spout.

I purchased this after looking at many other options. My hope was that the highly rated ceramic with stainless steel spigot would be a nice long term solution. Wrong. Day 1 - water all over the floor. Upon further investigation, the spigot drips at the point of contact between the steel and ceramic crock. This is NOT a user error. I'll have to return this and start over...
