Fireangel Ionisation Smoke Alarm with Escape Light, Small, LSI-601

I ordered this immediately after my anosmic husband set fire to a cornish pasty in the combi oven and our existing smoke alarm didn't go off, even although the battery was working and the house was filling with smoke!The Fireangel alarm arrived next day. It came complete with clear instructions, screws/wall plugs and I was able to fix it in place with ease. It's loud on test mode and the blue Escape Light seems to be nice & bright (not tried it in the dark). Thankfully hubby's not set fire to anything else so am unable to comment further on it's performance but will update if or when it's been required.

Very happy with the build quality and it certainly picks up the first hint of smoke but can be silenced with the big button.

Bought to replace a Fire Angel which had a non replacable battery, this fits onto the same fittings so litteraly just slotted straight on. Works great, light is bright and great value for money. Battery is standard 9 volt so easily replacable, I just hope we never need to see it in full use!

Great product, sturdy and good value for money. Lights the passage way up when the alarm goes off. No need for batteries.

after about six months the fireangel just goes off at anytime,night or day.tried several new batteries so that is not the problem.ive had to remove it,will have to look for something more reliable.

Installed in the hallway this this unit alarms if I have a quick shower in the bathroom. Had to relocate it. Exchanged the hallway one to a photoelectric and put this ionising one at the far end in the bedroom.

The unit seems Ok, loud alarm and bright blue LED escape light. However, the product is an off white / beige colour. It would be niver if it was white

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Came with base plate, fitting screws and booklet. As this was replacement for a previous Fire Angel light didn't need to replace base plate, like for like fittings, so made it an easy job. Only fitted yesterday so can't comment on its sensitivity (as some previous reviews do). I like that there is an emergency blue escape light and periodically flashes to show battery working (which came included).
