Works with Samsung Galaxy S
Reverses the screen and ring 2 so you can use iphone specific headsets on other phones. In my case I was trying to useAltec Lansing 'Muzx Ultra' Noise Isolating HeadphoneswithSamsung I9000 Galaxy S Sim Free Mobile PhoneI can confirm the phase reversal/hollowness has been corrected to the audio output. The centre button of the headset now works with the phone. The other buttons don't work with my phone, but I wasn't expecting this as my phone doesn't claim to support remote volume controls. The Mic on the headset is also functioning now as a result of using this cable.I thought £5.99 a bit steep, but the quality of cable and connectors looks good. Gold connectors both ends, and Oxygen Free Copper cable apparently. I like having the angled connector at the phone end.The length seems just about right. As to the durability, time will tell, but it seems well made.

Kinda works, Sony Xperia Arc
Kinda works with Sony Xperia Arc. I does not work "out of the box", you have to instead by pass the microphone by holding the mic button (pause button) while connecting the headphones with the adapter, keep holding it for about 2-3 seconds. After that the sound works perfect, not halved like it was without the adaptor. Bose AE2i is the headphones I tested with.I would not recommend this adaptor for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, if you want it to work flawless.

Xperia Play
Well when I received this cable it originally didnt work with my phone (Xperia Play). How ever after doing a tiny bit of research I found out that if I hold down the mic button on my Headphones(Sound of Marley Headphones)the sound comes through perfect. So with a bit of DIY job I taped the button down and now it works great. So try this before writing it off cos I struggled to find any other adapter that worked correctly.Phil

Fiio, what would we do without you?
Amazingly handy little adapter for (by example) if you bought a pair of these Sony Ericsson MH1-BL LiveSound Hi-Fi Headset - Black fantastic little earphones, only to find they don't work with your device...This in a nutshell is for any old (and bearing the cost, treasured) wired headset that you try to use on a modern mobile phone, and it either only sounds like an echo chamber or - worse, that you get a display pop up on screen saying that your headset is incompatible with your device... this fixes either scenario...On the flip side, if you have a modern headset, and an older mobile phone handset, this will reverse the new headset to work on the old phone ;o)Well worth the money :)

Will not work with Apple Earpods (Their own headphones included with iPhones)
!!!Be aware when purchasing as the price is steep for a small adapter!!!Manufacturer advertises everywhere that this works for converting apple specific heaphones to allow use in many other devices by switching the ground and mic poles around, which it does, but it does not work for apple earpods. It may be something to do with how the earpods work themselves, but basically when using this adapter in my computer (With a headphone microphone splitter) or with a ps4 the volume is halved for some strange reason and the microphone does not work. a click sound is picked up instead when the volume buttons are pressed.Ended up buying a pair of Phillips Freshtones headphones (not the wireless ones) from argos for £15 as they have the same fit as earpods, and similar sound quality. They work perfectly with my PC and also PS4

Doesn't work with klipsch Image X11i and Galaxy Nexus
Looks good and the finish is ok, but doesn't work with klipsch Image X11i and Galaxy Nexus. The sound is very very low. For the volume is normal must be constantly pressed the center button.Fortunately (and surprisingly) my Galaxy Nexus Android works correctly with the pair X11i for Iphone!!! No adapter is required. (I bought the adapter before the Klipsch)The mic works. The center button same thing, with all the features of android in-ears. Logically, the volume buttons do not work

A TRRS cable with the RS part crossed over.
Got a 2011 Sony Ericsson phone like me (mine's an Xperia Play) and having difficulties getting a good pair of headphones w/ inline mike to work with them? Are you getting the "not compatible" message? In that case, this is what you need. The right angle plug end is great when the jack is on the side of the phone. I haven't tried the iPhone claim as mentioned in the description, but it worked for my needs. Check this xda post if you want more information on the issues that can crop up with TRRS headphones: [...] It's very informative.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly with my Sony Ericsson Xperia ArcNo problems here. Im using it with Dr. Dre urbeats earphones with mic and control bottons (forward,rewind,play/stop)Although forward and rewind control the volume and not the song list i have no problem i prefer it this way since play/stop works fine and if i keep it pressed it also moves on to the next song on the list.Happy buyer hereJohn Theo.
