No parseltongue required
It looksssss like a ssssssssnake, it's curled up like a ssssssnake, but I am very disssssapointed that it cannot be posed.Its in that shape, and there is no center wire, so you cannot make it, for example have its head up, like it's going to strike.The head stays frustratingly touching the body in the curl.So if you want to leave it somewhere not well lighted (usually) it doesn't look threatening.I would have been much happier if I could pose it somewhat, even a little bit. It's possible to uncurl it, as should in several reviewer's photos, but it snaps right back to the way it comes when released.Other than that one issue (which is a big one for me anyway) it's great, perfect.

Garden Defense!
Thrilled with my purchase of this fake snake! This, along with a homemade concoction I've crafted, has saved my peonies from the squirrels and other critters! Move the snake every few days. Then use a smelly deterrent (garlic, pepper) on and around the plant, in combination; you should also see success. Great value, durable, and easy pest control.

Realistic, if you don't look too closely
Local sparrows were using the awning on our RV slide out as a nicely protected nesting site. While prepping for an upcoming trip, I cleared out the nests after the brood moved out, only to find new nests under construction the next day. I cleared the material out and they proptly began construction again. This pattern went on for several days. They are persistant and wouldn't give up, so I decided to try these rubber snakes. I placed one at each open end of the awning and they have done the trick. The birds have finally taken the hint and moved on to nest somewhere else. I guess they look real enough.

Don't waste your money
Like most have said it is NOT realistic, NOT posable, it's neck is bent back into its body and can not straighten it. It MAY be 3/4" in diameter at most.Would not recommend this purchase. Mine will be sent back even though it was only 7 bucks
