5 year replacement ( Warranty is slanted against coverage of wear)
After 7 years the mattress has significantly lost firmness. It has sunken but doesnāt appear to be visually. The warranty is carefully worded to make sure they will not have to replace the mattress unless it is visibly at least 1ā indentation. The mattress is like sleeping in a hole now and will need to be replaced. If you are counting on the warranty, donāt. The mattress was never a good choice to begin with. A bit too firm with no softness comfort level but , we used toppers to make it usable. A cheap mattress with no sustainable warranty. Definitely not worth our time to try Purple again.

USE STRETCHY SHEETS or you will HATE this mattress!!
I'm convinced that the negative reviews have got to be from people that aren't using stretchy sheets. When I put on regular sheets, it absolutely SUCKED. We're talking Hoover here. Awful! Then I put on a jersey sheet and I cannot stop touching the mattress! It's just heaven on earth. Best mattress EVER!!! Seriously, people, USE STRETCHY SHEETS!!! Ok, horse beaten...So, everyone in my family has perfect spinal alignment on this except for my hubby. Turns out that he's that way on the rest of the mattresses in the house - both firm and soft. After discovering this, he mentioned that he had scoliosis as a child. Turns out, he still does. So, mystery solved there. We're all different shapes and sizes and it worked equally well for us all. I'm curvy and it's just incredible. My son is about 180 and so is my hubby and it's all good. Even my little ones love it.I cannot fathom how anyone would find this too firm and I LOATHE firm mattresses. LOATHE them, people!! I have always been a Texas-sized pillow top kinda gal. This is firm, but you can't tell unless you check your alignment. I have perfect alignment on this, but it is absolutely so squishy and forgiving, so it doesn't feel firm at all. It's heaven! So, fence walkers, do it! It took my like 2 months to finally try it. And for all that is good, get the right sheets! LOLI bought the twin, as we were going to originally do a split king, but decided on a king. I'm not sure how the edges of the twins together in the middle will do. Just FYI to those considering this.

I am constantly sore when I wake up.
I tried it for 30 days and it was better than my old mattress but now almost a year later I HATE this mattress. I wake up constantly through the night. It always feels like my hips are lower than the rest of my body. I am constantly sore in the morning. I am a side sleeper so maybe thatās the issue cause my husband says his is fine and heās a back sleeper. Itās less than a year later and Iām buying a new mattress. Would not recommend.

Deformed
I had previously bought an XLTwin Purple from Mattress Firm and was pleased with the purchase so I decided to buy another from Amazon. The Amazon Mattress came very tightly vacuum bagged and after opening it and letting it sit flat for 6 hours I noticed it didn't expand as full as the one I previously bought, also, one of the corners was squashed and never came close to looking like the other corners. I can only assume that the vacuum bagging caused this as the first mattress I bought was not vacuum bagged. Amazon was very good about the return

Comfortable mattress, beware that Amazon return is only 30 days.
The purple is a nice mattress. The only downside is you have to realize that the top of the mattress when you lay on it does not feel smooth. You can feel the purple honeycomb topper they are known for. Its not uncomfortable and not a big deal but something to note. Other then that it works great, I sleep much better then I did on the gel/foam mattress we had before. Works great on an adjustable base as well. Do note as others have mentioned when you order from amazon you only have 30 days to return versus directly from purple where I think its 100 days.

He likes soft (mama bear) I like hard (papa bear) but we typically like to sleep ...
Our purple experience:First of all, this is our second mattress purchase of our married lives. We bought our old mattress at a store 6 years ago, about 4-5 months ago I started to see the divots and we began talking mattresses.First a foremost for our concerns was my back- I had two herniated discs and slipped vertebrae, I got those fixed 6, almost 7 weeks before my first night on a purple. I had a double fusion and laminectomy, Rods, screws, caged, the whole 9 yards in my back. Second concern was my husband now works a hard on the body and back job. He likes soft (mama bear) I like hard (papa bear) but we typically like to sleep together. Remotes tend to get destroyed by my kids- so fancy remotes were out of the question. When I first saw this commercial I had the "to good to be true" vibe. But I checked out reviews (sleepopolis was the most helpful) and finally showed my husband the commercial and he's all- "whatever you want wife of mine". He knows I spend more time awake in bed than he does, Mama wanted a purple and she got one.Well I go to order and it was back ordered. I signed up for the email and as soon as it popped up, I ordered one to our new house, and it got here just in time, literally in time for us to move all our furniture to the house. After some convincing my husband agreed to sleep on this mattress on the floor in the new house a night earlier than we planned. It was maybe 3 weeks, probably less.Night 1:I was able to not need to shift and move all night- anyone with my type of back Injury knows that sometimes non movement causes some pain and stiffness. That's all I had. No hip pain or shoulder pain, no numbness or tingling nothing. I can lay on my back (on my ginormous 6 inch, still healing incision) and I don't feel my hardware *at all* no need for a pillow between my knees, just laying in bed, sleeping. Rolling is a breeze (even compared to non-crater beds better than our old one) PLUS- I thought that temp neutral would mean I needed to get me some wool Jammie's (I've been constantly cold since surgery) - when they say neutral- it's neutral. Warmer than my old Amish mattress! My husband- who did not give me much feedback is only having trouble finding the right pillow. My only complaint is that he's falling asleep much quicker which means I have to hear more snoring! (The nerve of you purple! š)I'm laying here night 2, it's on our old box spring/bed not the floor and my husband fell asleep in 2.5 seconds (mid conversation) I've been in the same position for an hour and I'm having the same experience as I did last night! My 2 year old even fell asleep for his nap today so much quicker!Seriously, this mattress is a dream. And honestly I wish we had this before my surgery because that is a few years of pain and lost sleep I'm trying to catch up on! I would 1000% recommend this bed to anyone whose got the same back issues as mine- it's supportive of your spine but seriously no pressure points and I'm not as achy when I get up. It's night and day. My back was also less fatigued than it usually is by mid day (and today was the official move in day- so today has been rough!)This mama bear will be following up with a lumbar support pillow for her car and telling all her spiny friends and Doctor about purple. Because friends don't let friends sleep on crappy mattresses ^_^
