Worth watching
It was obvious from the get go that this 'DVD' was a VHS transfer and not a good VHS tape at that and that didn't bode well. However, this gentle paced budget film turned out to be rewarding viewing. It has a unique feel and enough thought provoking elements in the script to make me wonder at another viewer's comments. I also cannot imagine why someone is saying Roger is miscast. His character is essentially a playboy that travels the world. A role he'd played many times with aplomb. Yes, he's supposed to be a conman but the fact is for practically every minute he's on screen he plays a decent man. Actually, he is supposed to be someone who is suave and he is, so really where's the miscasting? What is nice about this film is it's more dynamic script (i.e than the shallow sound bites he gets in the Bond series) gives Roger a chance to do a more dynamic version of that character he normally plays. Yes, I do think the film could be better but it's imperfections and somewhat loose feel didn't spoil my enjoyment. If you're a Roger fan it's definitely worth checking out.

Not the complete version
Now, I like this film, but there are so many scenes cut out it makes it seem kind of empty, I have a copy from America with lots of different scenes and a completely different ending and this is the copy that I enjoy most so 4 stars for this version as someone went OTT with the scissors and ruined it

To put it simply, just a great film!
'Bed And Breakfast' was a masterpiece. Loved the casting and Roger Moore's performance was particularly awesome. Considering that this film was his last time, starring as a lead, I thought he still came out and gave a wicked performance. I loved the music, the story, the humour, the romance and the characters. They were all brought to life by, a really truly talented set of actors and actresses. Roger's acting was superb and almost like his films, 'The Man Who Haunted Himself' (1970) and 'The Naked Face,' (1984) this film showed a different, more serious side to his acting. The quality of the DVD was a bit suspect in places and you can obviously tell that the film has been been taken off VHS and transferred onto DVD. But, the sheer awesomeness of the story and the uniquely exquisite acting from Roger, helped to iron out those issues for me. One of my favourite films and worth buying if you're a Roger Moore completest, like myself!

More more of big Rog Moore
Although im a man and a action film nut, i cant get enough of his fella. When now of a age that fight scenes are becoming out of the question, he shows when it comes to romantic drama he cannot be beaten, any other in the role i would not have been intrested but Moores charm can be a spectical even for other men. Pity after Bond he semi retierd and made some stinkers, still how many actors didnt Connery, Wayne, K Douglas ?

Bed and Breakfast
It's a pity that Roger Moore didn't do more work after 1985's 'A View To A Kill', as this film shows his ability to nail light comedy/drama perfectly. His age (somewhere around 62 I think) is not an issue at all, as the role is not physically demanding. This was his last film as a leading man (if you disregard 1994's made for TV 'The Man Who Wouldnt Die'), and for that reason alone is a must for Moore completists like myself. On a final note the MusicBank release is in 4:3, which is a disapointment for me, but this doesn't hurt the frame too much as I suspect it was originally filmed in 1.85:1
