You get what you pay for
Quality item. Yes I’m sure there are cheaper versions out there but this is well designed, easy to use, and gives confidence it’s going to keep my Garmin secure, so worth the money.

Great product if a lanyard work for you
This is a really great lanyard and no hesitation in recommending. Question you need to ask yourself is do you want a lanyard? I've found it frustrating as it kept bouncing around everywhere. Unless you wanted to be constantly holding or looking at your GPS I would not recommend this solution.I only purchased this as the carbine clip which came with my GPS was frustrating as the clip is at the top and not the bottom of the unit. This made it difficult to use.

When I ordered the Garmin Quick Release Lanyard, I thought - what a lot of money for a string!But, I am impressed with the quality of this Garmin 'string'. It is strong and gives me the confidence that my Garmin accessories with remain securely with me.
