This is the best game ever
This is the best game ever! First of all you might be wondering if the animals look like they do on the cover of the case and the answer is yes! They are more animated looking than real and some people might turn away at that but that is one of the features that makes the game great. All the animals look great and I could see them being in a cartoon but their not goofy or silly looking, just cartoonish looking. The only one that doesn't look that good is the lions face which is the only thing in the entire game that doesn't look that good, but you can only tell up close. This game is easy but super fun! You start in zecora valley (the first region of 9 to unlock) where you meet the first animal to tame, a zebra. To tame an animal you can pet it (which is a fun game of getting the itchy spots on the animal before time runs out) (easy) or you can feed it fruit, bugs, and other things you can collect in the game. When you get its heart to yellow (the animals love for you is shown by a heart) you can increase its charm and strength. Charm allows your animals to befriend other animals more quickly and your animal gets more of it as you pet it, and strength (get by doing an easy but fun drum jumping game) increases speed and/or your animals talent (each different species has its own talent). But you unlock these thought out the game. Their are not too many different species of animals on this game just the main animals including Zebras, Lions, Elephants, hippo's, gazelles, rhinos, alligators, and gorillas which is plenty and any more problly would be too much. Their are many different kinds of plants, fruit and bugs you can find throughout the game to feed the animals. Some have affects on the animals, like one will increase the speed of the animals for a short time or turn it back into a baby animal, but not all them do this. The funniest part of the game is when you get to control the animal, this is when you get to use the animals talent. Like zebras can kick fruit and bugs out of plants or guzzles can dodge lion attacks with a quick move. When you finish the game ( which might be 6 - 8 hours) your not done. You can go back areas you unlocked and do your own thing, like free play and just have fun. This is a free play game basically anyway besides you must fill up a flower by making animals happy to unlock new areas and you can do missions to unlock new abilities in the game but you don't half to if you don't want ( yet I would suggest doing the missions cause it unlocks things that makes the game more fun to play). Its not forcing you to do the missions if you don't want to (its a lot more fun if you do them though) but you will be stuck in just one area forever if you don't alteast make the animals happy. And their are secrets in the game you can discover, like the animals cant go though the plants they must go around them. So if you plant the plants in a circle close to each other with space left in the middle and place an animal in it will be trapped. This is great if you have lions that you don't want eating your zebras. Basically this is a fun game that would be great for young or old.

Love it!
Overall this is a really fun game!! I've spent more time playing it than I would like to admit. I gave it four stars because there are some things that are not that great, like when you get attached to a zebra and a lion eats it. Circle of life I guess. Another thing is that when the animals get too old they "retire" which you can guess what that means. I was kind of sad when my favorite lion retired, but all in all its a fun game that's easy to play for just about anyone!

Arrived on time.
Ordered this game for my 6 year old son for Christmas it was one thing he asked Santa for. He loves watching his sister play The Sims 3 Pets on PC and I thought that this would be a good one for him to try on Wii. I read reviews of the game on several websites and it sounds like this game will be a fun game for him to play and it is more suited for his age and play style.Happy with the product it came by the estimated arrival date and not much more I can say about this.

Must for Animal Lovers
This is like any SIMS game only with Animals that can be found in Africa (Zebra, elephants, etc). You befriend and feed/water them, etc.I bought this for my house so when my grand daughter (8 years old) comes to visit, well she did and we played until 3:00 A.M. Needless we both really like this game! Very adicting!

For older kids
I bought this for my young son. I think it's a good product, but do not buy it if your children are young. It requires lots of reading and you have to spend a lot of time nurturing the animals. If your child loves animals, is patient and methodical, then I think he/she will really enjoy this game.

Wrong product.
The product was not Sim Animals Africa. It was merely the original Sim Animals. Disappointing.
