Make a huge difference
I have the 38-inch width cedar shoe rack. When you stack the shoe racks with larger sized dress/business shoes (i.e., size 12 and above), then the space between the stacked racks is barely sufficient for sliding shoes on the rack. These extended are placed between the stacked racks and are held in placed with the provided wood dowels. The difference is immediate and significant. You can easily slide your shoes onto the racks and no longer have to search for a particular angle of insertion. It will appear that your shoes and now breathe instead of being bunched on top of one another. I thought that the stacked racks would be less sturdy, but they are not. These extenders work very well and I am very pleased with them. The set includes extenders for three stacked racks. It seems obviously, but it is worth stating that your stacked rack will be higher when you install the extenders so be aware of any height limitations that you may have at your particular location.

Easy to add to existing Woodlore shoe racks
Helped me get an extra few pair of boots into my shoe racks. Designed to be used with the Woodlore shoe racks... so not sure if they are compatible with any others... my guess is probably not. They smell good and are easy to install. There were three sets of these in a pack which I didn't understand from the ad, so I ended up with extras. I'd recommend.

Definitely needed for taller shoes/low boots
We got these to add to the shoe racks- easy to install. My husband can get his shoes into the racks without the extenders, but these do make it easier and he doesn't have to worry about his shoes getting scraped when putting them in/out of the rack. Pricey, but since the cedar rack was what we were looking for we felt it was necessary to get them as well.

Great, allows room for my high heels
Great option, gives me room for my high heels. ALSO, I found that if I added these at the BOTTOM of the rack, I could get an extra few inches down there as well -- super helpful!

needs more dowels to stop it from being wobbly. The cedar matches all the other pieces from (top shelf, etc).
