They do what they do....
The spring is not that strong, but that’s so you can practice upstairs without stomping on the ceiling. And they don’t work with the cheaper Alesis 'DD70 type' drum pads no.....

Great pedal very quite and does not take up too much room and arrived very quickly

a good upgrade for the DD-75
Bought as an upgrade for the little pedal that came with the DD-75. It is a substantial upgrade with a solid feel.

Did not work with my alesis compact 7
Had to strip out the inners and insert wiring and peizo taken from alesis pedal - that did the trick - works well as either bass drum pedal or hi hat on my compact 7. Hovever, dislike the light spring. Great! no solding, nothing complicated - just used tape, foam and some glue.

Quiet and weak return spring - avoid.
Worked on my kit, but was far to quiet. Also the return spring was far too week to be provide good feel. I returned it immediately and Amazon were as effective as usual thankfully.
