4 stars only because I JUST got it and applied it to my phone. I like that it is very tiny. I have a Galaxy S8 which has the RETINA SCANNER right next to the camera lens so I made sure to position this little cam cover the other way so as not to block the retina scanner ( should I ever decide to use it). I like that it doesn't compromise my phone's functions or the way I use it. It is pretty thin and does not come up higher than my phone case. I peeled off the adhesive backing and placed it on my phone WITHOUT APPLYING ANY PRESSURE YET. I used a paper clip to help me position it. I am a woman and I have small hands and still needed a little tool to help me do this. Once I got it in place I closed the slider and pressed. It seems to be intact so far. I do use my face recognition and other biometrics to unlock my phone so you might want to take that under consideration If you use FACE RECOGNITION. You'll have to open the slider. Otherwise, I'd use my fingerprint instead. I put one on my Surface Pro, and I'll be sharing them with my family. I love that there are black ones and silver ones for more options. All in all, I think its a pretty snazzy little gadget.Feb.8, 2020I am about to purchase my 5th pack of these Cimkiz Webcam covers. I've tried couple of other types but ended up returning them. These are the only ones that are small enough for my Galaxy S8, however:--The pieces are metal and the little circle that slides is magnet so it will stick to my earring.--I've lost a few of the little circles, so its a good thing they come in a pack. They're just little magnets so getting stuck on stuff in my purse causes me to lose it. Most likely paper. It doesn't come off when in my pocket.My husband's has never come off so it's the contents of my purse that removes it.Otherwise, these are the ones I like because they are not too big. I'll prob continue to buy these. They're great for ALL my family's devices as well.UPDATE 11-10-21. Still using these! Yep they're working great for me and my family. I now have a Galaxy Z Flip 3 and I'm still deciding if I'm going to put it on my flip phone.UPDATE 11-15-21 Works perfectly on my Galaxy Z Flip 3. It does not tough or compromise the functionality of the Flip feature at all. Excellent!

I don't know why, but I was expecting these to be much larger. Look at the images of these installed on a laptop and you'll see how small they really are. I also thought the round part slid inside a track but it's magnetic. You have to be a little careful opening and closing it to keep the circle part from falling out, but otherwise they are easy to use.I am using them on my laptops (Macbook Pros) and they are fine. They don't stick out far enough to prevent the laptop from closing all the way. I'm not sure the little round part would stay on if used on a cellphone. I feel certain that I'd lose the round part when sticking the phone in my pocket or pulling it out. Otherwise they are fine on a laptop, where the lid is closed when you are transporting it.For what I bought them for they are five stars but I imagine I'd mark them pretty low if I was using it on a cellphone and lost the disc part, which I'm sure I would since it is not in a track.

Magnetic design was perfect to help keep it shut. Glue isn't strong enough to hold it to the screen. Yes, I cleaned screen first.

Which makes them very hard to maneuver. I previously purchased some and thought they would be the same size as the pink one but they aren't.They do cover the camera.

I don't know what the people who complained about them not sticking are doing? I have an iMac and after cleaning the glass with CleanScreen and wiping any residue off, they stuck right on, hard! I was just a fraction off from perfectly level and not wanting to pull it off completely, I tried to nudge it over a 16th of an inch. It wouldn't move I tried again a hard as I could without lifting it and nothing. I have no reason to think it won't come off clean if carefully pried off.The one thing for iMac users that I have not seen mentioned is, you can't mount them horizontally without covering either the light sensor or the camera-on light. The length does fit in-between but the hole must be centered over the lens and you can't do that without covering one or the ithrr.I mounted mine vertically and the problem is solved. When the lens cover is open, it's above the lens opening.Perfect!I can't even see the black version against the black bezel where the camera is.Buy these! They are perfect!

I got tired of sticky notes on my laptop and decided to give these a try. So far so good.I cleaned the surface before applying the camera cover to ensure it would stick well. You need a steady hand because the hole for the camera is almost exactly the same size as the camera so you need to be accurate. The first one I installed does not interfere with the camera when open but is on a slight angle instead of being completely horizontal. That doesn't affect the functionality and only I am really going to see that. On the second laptop my installation is much better.Use the correct color (black or chrome) and the cover practically disappears on the laptop. In low lighting I can barely see it installed at all.Because they are so small and thin, you need to use your fingernail to slide the cover open or closed. I haven't had any issues with the slide falling off or the adhesive failing but our laptops are inside 99% of the time and don't move around a lot.
