Simple and easy to operate. Very easy to install and well priced. Fits well on my door. I really like its minimalist and sleek design. Not recommended for front doors unless you have a deadbolt lock just like mine. Just a precaution, do not over tighten the screws that holds the interior and exterior handles, it will affect the latch assembly. You won’t be able to open from the outside. However, I wish it has 360 degree finger print recognition as it recognizes finger print in only one direction. Overall, I highly recommend the product.

This lock is stylish, it talks, and is very well made. This lock does NOT have an emergency backup key, which is why I bought it. There is more security with a locked that can't be picked or entered into with a bump key.

It was easy to install. As is mentioned above you almost can't see the numbers in daylight. This winter due to expansion and contraction our lock bolt didn't line up perfectly, and this unit does not have the power to deal with it and will not lock. I also set the master code and my entry code to the same number. To enter master mode, you have to hit cancel twice then enter the code. Sometimes it gets confused when you enter the code and enters master mode instead of unlocking the door. Highly frustrating. It has been malfunctioning lately too. When users put in the unlock code it will try to unlock and fail.

firstreadNON APP CONNECTED , it's not a smart lock. If you didn't figure that out from the clear description and are complaining about the lack of features, you are a problem with those of us trying to read / find coherent knowledgeable reviews. Lots of people don't want the internet of things all in their business but have at it if you want the tech behemoths tracking your entering leaving, tying that data into your alarm data, phone, tv , mapping your house and objects video with vacuums, etc.Therefore shockingly enough there is a market for non app connected smart locks.Here's the deal from a long time basic keyless keypad lock user.yes you have to swipe before you can enter a code, takes a bit of getting used to, i'd imagine this allows a *lit* keypad to save battery without all of the false alerts of motion sensors (or requiring a manual button push which is the usual route). Yes it can misregister your touch since there's no physical buttons, physical buttons do not have that tendency but of course they do get wear patterns (though doesn't seem big deal my old kwiksets never got a pattern).All of that is made up for by easy of programming due to the voice prompt, instead of counting beeps,etc...it's 15 minutes to install and super easy to program only matter minutes. Whereas my old ones the batteries lasted so long i'd have to remove the back covers and follow the keypad entries beeps,etc...this is much simpler, you only have to remember the menu code then it voice prompts reads the options.Longevity, weather proofness i can't comment yet, my old non touch kwikset dealt with florida rains pretty easy, we'll see how this holds up, if dies early death i'll be back to edit the review.update dec 2024 these are in covered patios but do get wet from hurricanes,etc it's been through some doozy rains and works great still. Excellent battery life and the feature i like the most is disable auto lock easily. My garage is not attached, my house is built up (florida) when i'm busy outside i like auto lock off, when i'm inside i want it on.Another thing i should mention in my review is the voice capability helps you not have to figure out a beep, it announces when battery is low, etc it only does a beep if the door is not able to actually actuate (for example if your door is not aligned correctly) which is nice to know too.

Wait for lock to fully be unlocked, if you accidentally pull/push the door to open before it’s fully unlocked, you’re done!5. Auto lock for 30 seconds seem to be a bit long

This product is fantastic!!! It was easy to install and has even more features than I knew because I didn’t read the full description! I love this so much!!!

Installation - do-able but challenging. Cable kept getting in way but ultimately completeInterior assembly is attached and fixed in place with sliding tabs; one of which refused to stay in place- result: one side of assembly was loose on doorFaceplate and menu - completely electronic. Before any changes could be made (codes, settings), you must wake the lock up by touching it. This was the weak point in that physical contact did not always wake the lock - numerous touches were necessary.Once awakened, hard to be sure the complete (or correct) code was entered. On numerous occasions, I thought the code had been keyed properly, on to have the lock 'tell' me that it was wrong.Yes - the lock has a small speaker and confirms actions and menu choices by voice. Unfortunately, my hearing is a bit deficient and it was often hard to hear. (Installed the lock on interior garage entrance where fairly quiet. If installed on exterior door, outside noise could drown out this lock).Overall, this lock may be okay - it was inexpensive, but I think there are better alternatives- I'm partial to the Yale / August group, more expensive but better quality.
