This is a great product that provides a good level of security for the price. All sorts of manufacturers make locks of this type, but Abus is the original and best. If you look on YouTube you'll see this lock can be picked open easily, but it requires skill and practice, so not something you need to worry about in the real world. The lock's resistance to physical attack, which Is far more important, is extremely high. The design makes attacking the shackle very difficult (particularly if it is paired with the Abus hasp) and the double welding of the seam makes breaking it apart virtually impossible. Given the lock's size if can of course be cut, but it's much more difficult than average.

One of the reviewers above stated "There's quite a lot of play in the shackle to be able to rotate it clockwise when locked, such that it is only just covered by the casing on the left hand side". Having scrutinised this lock in depth myself, I can confirm that this statement is true. Its extremely easy to slide the shackle to the left with your fingers in order to expose the end of the shackle. It would then simply require a flat bladed screwdriver to pop the shackle back.I would expect that from a Poundland lock, not from Abus, and certainly not at nearly 30 quid.So disappointed that I returned it immediately for a refund via Amazon's absolutely excellent returns system.

This padlock arrived as advertised, though needed light oiling to open and close like a dream. It provides reasonable security -- I'm using it to lock my bicycle to a ground anchor behind a heavy locked door. However, I wouldn't entrust even a cheap bicycle to it out on a public street, you should get better security.

Does what it says on the tin. We haven't had any attempted burglaries (what I know) but after a year outdoors it still works well, with only a smidge of rust, that could be polished off.

sincera, da un prodotto di questo prezzo, mi aspettavo che fosse nuovo ed immacolato. Purtroppo sebbene incartato nel suo blister di plastica era abbastanza rovinato. Segni e graffi sulla parte anteriore e laterale come se fosse stato usato. Ne ho visto uno identico in un ferramenta e non solo costava di meno ma era senza segni. Io sono collezionista e li espongo, quindi ne volevo uno nuovo.
