I have a 2001 Mazda 626 with over 175 k on it. Would it cause the seals to start leaking?

Oil leaks often depend on the actual weight (viscosity) of your current oil. A high level of contaminates in the oil presently in your engine will prevent some leaks which may show up after any oil change. A new leak with an oil change is usually caused by switching to a lower actual weight (viscosity); in other words switching from dirty, thick oil to a clean, thinner oil, and has little to do with switching to a blended or full synthetic oil.I find Castrol GTX Magnatec is a great, full synthetic, oil. I have used Castrol in my vehicles for over 50 years and I keep vehicles on average of 20 years. With newer models, later than 2000 or so, I run low viscosity (5W20) for the first 100K miles or so and switch to a 5W30 or 10W30 (dependent on temperatures and driving conditions) after 100k miles. Switching from straight dino to full synthetic will extend the life of your oil (time/mileage between changes) to about twice as long as the owner's manual recommendations. If driving in extreme conditions, I still replace the oil filter about halfway between oil changes. You'll find a wealth of info at bobistheoilguy dot com.

What is the recommended oil change interval when using full synthetic oil?

Like Xuehao said, stop with the 3000 mile oil change nonsense. Good quality oil like this can easily go 6000 or 7500 miles easily while still in the engine, you can easily go over 10k miles without issues especially with newer 2012 and beyond vehicles - now obviously if you're leaking you better get that plugged up and fixed.

hello, is this full synthetic oil? how many miles does it last?

The 5w-20 weight is full synthetic... Some of the other weights are a blend. I change it after 10k but I run it in a hybrid.

Can I use this oil in Jeep engines that require 5w20?

I purchased 6 of these jugs... then I noticed on the label that it says to "use 0w-20 in gym vehicles that require 5w-20". I not plan on returning the jugs but it made me wonder if I made the right choice. I'm putting it in my 2005 f150 5.4L
