EGO 56V Li-Ion 15" String Trimmer 2.0Ah Kit

The trimmer worked well. I had some issues with getting the string to come out. After using pliers to get the string out and using the trimmer for a couple of hours, the string started coming out a tapping the head on the ground.

This EGO Power 15 inch is stellar. One accu charge lasts for 38 minutes up to over 50 minutes, on medium to full blast. It cuts THROUGH 5 feet high dense weeds areas, all kinds of brushes, most thickets, and vines. Except 20 feet long vines which I simply cut off with a pruner. Other trimmers' accu charge last on my Florida backyard jungle up to 20 minutes MAXIMUM. I used the EGO ten times so far and ZERO complaints at all. The charger has an audible cooling unit built inside so I can recharge the accu without having to wait to let it cool off. FANTASTIC! The trimmer itself is long and heavy and YES it has a kind of armrest to put my right arm on which tremendously eases the heavy duty work I have to do. Prior the first cut, I bought myself security protective glasses, a baseball cap, some long leg fabric pants and shirts and security heavy duty outdoor sandals. This outfit helps IMMENSE to stay safe. This EGO trimmer on full blast has a top force to make small stones and wood chunks fly over 20 meters against walls, like straight shooting bullets. I had to learn to position the trimmer in the right angle on the ground areas to get the most efficiency out of it. If one needs to trim a lawn, a mower might be a better fit. If one needs a tool to get the real heavy stuff done, this it!

Had a gas trimmer and a corded trimmer-- and edging was always tough. Started using this, didn't pay close attention at first and realized that I had beat up the edge I was working with---because it is markedly more powerful than I was used to. People seem to like these, and I get why. Would definitely guy again.Loses a star as it is fairly heavy (with the 7ah battery)...maybe even a bit heavier than my gas one. Get the strap (doesn't come with it but easy to find)...makes it much easier to use and, more importantly, control since it is that powerful.Almost goes without saying-- but nice not to have the gas engine. I have had pretty much yearly surgeries on that carb and, even then, the tuning is suspect. Then you have the hold with one hand/pull cord with the other. Kind of a pain. Here, snap in the battery, put it on and squeeze the handle/trigger. Much less of a production.

SENT A DEFECTIVE WEED WACKER , LIED ABOUT THE RETURN CONDITION AND REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY .STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER . THE BOX CAME PRE OPENED, IT WAS A PRE SOLD WEED WACKER ,THAT WAS PROBABLY RETURNED BECAIUSE IT WAS DEFECTIVE .

Beware that Embie Industries is not an authorized EGO dealer. The hinged shaft had a misalignment of screws so I couldn’t straighten out the shaft. EGO was willing to send me a replacement part until they saw that it came from Embie. On top of that, I had ordered the string trimmer without a battery and yet Embie sent me the instruction manual for the battery but no manual for the trimmer itself. I’m returning the trimmer and will buy it elsewhere.
