Star Trek Album Audio CD – CD, November 11, 2003

Since I grew up on Star Trek I have always loved the music. (I watched the original series as a weekly series when I was a kid. Yeah I'm old). As time has passed I grew to love Orchestral music. this album is a GREAT tribute to the music of Star Trek. If you like Orchestral Music then get this album. Even if you have never even heard of Star Trek, the music is very listenable (is that a word?).ENJOY.

Trekkies and Trekkers alike will enjoy this compilation by various Artists on the vast range of "Star Trek" themes and soundtracks without disappointment. Wonderful full fidelic notes bounce, ping and resound from one speaker to another as the images and memories of the various "Star Trek" shows and movies experiences course through one's mind, recalling the thrill and appreciation of "Gene Roddenberry" and his talented team of protege's extremely creative imaginations that launched the SciFi world into a mainstream genre... This is one of the best Star Trek albums that I've heard. The conductor definitely put his heart in the music. The sound is superb. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoy hear most of the day I play from Car on way to my Job and sometime when I am in long drive Thank you again for such Great CD.

This 2 disc set of Star Trek music is great for any Star Trek fan or even fans of instrumental music.

I got this for my mother who is a huge fan of Voyager (personally I think it's the worst series in the great franchise, Enterprise is my jam) and loves the theme tune. She was delighted.

Zunächsteinmal gleich vorweg: hierbei handelt es sich um keinen Original-Soundtrack sondern um eine erstklassige Neueinspielung vieler bekannter und einiger weniger bekannter Themes. Und das ist auch gut so! Die Produzenten dieser großartigen Doppel-CD haben viele klassische Trek-Themes sehr stimmungsvoll, emotionsgeladen, kraftvoll und innovativ neu interpretiert und dabei ein bewegendes Gesamtkunstwerk geschaffen, dass zwar auf den Originalmelodien aufbaut, jedoch etwas völlig eigenständiges darstellt.Ich habe mir die CDs zunächst eigentlich nur wegen der neuen Themes gekauft ("Tasha's Farewell", "Starfleet Academy"), muss aber sagen, dass mir nun beide CDs von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde gefallen! Ein beeindruckender, gut vertonter Querschnitt durch die Musik von Star Trek, der selbst alt bekannte Stücke in einem neuen Licht erstrahlen lässt. Und deshalb ist die Doppel-CD für alle Star Trek - und Soundtrack-Fans uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert, auch wenn oder gerade weil es eben kein Original-Score ist.Schade ist nur, dass es in letzter Zeit kaum neue Star Trek Soundtracks gibt, gerade zu den Serien Voyager, DS9 und Enterprise gibt es jeweils nur eine CD zum Pilotfilm. Auch deshalb ist dieses Tribut zu Star Trek eine willkommene Neuerscheinung.

Zuerst habe ich mir die CD nur wegen der Serien Themes gekauft, doch als sie heute morgen angekomme ist und ich alles durchgehört hatte, war ich begeistert. Zwar sind die Titel größtenteils bekannt, dennoch sind sie schön Interpretiert und schön aufgenommen (denn hierbei handelt es sich nicht um Orginale Aufnahmen). Es gibt aber dennoch einen Stern abgezogen, da die Soundeffekte hier fehl am Platz sind und sich nichtmal gut anhören. Dennoch darf diese CD keinem Trekkie im CD Regal fehlen!
