Ups and downs of this ink refill
This review goes for the tri-color as well as the black refill of this same brand. This product is super simple to use and it does fill your cartridge up for a fraction of the price you'd pay for an original HP ink cartridge. The down side is that your printer does not give you credit for the work you've done. It still thinks the cartridge is low. Now... if your ink level gets all the way to the bottom and the printer thinks you are out, it will discontinue using that cartridge and refuses to print. I have not figured out a way to reset the levels. The weird thing is that my HP All-in-one F4480 will still make copies, both color or b&w. It just won't print with an "empty" cartridge and it reminds me EVERY time I boot up that my cartridge is supposedly empty. The other part that I'm not pleased with is that the ink refills do get used up quickly. Perhaps this refill only fills the sponge and not the reservoir? Either way, it requires charging it back up more often.Lastly, the ink is not as smudge-proof as HP inks. You'll need to give it some dry time (not much). But also, if you write on it with markers / hi-lighters, the ink smears easily. All in all, based on my experience with this system, I don't believe that these inks are of the same quality as original HP inks. If you wanted to do high quality printing (hi res pictures), I think you should just bite the bullet and get the real thing. This product would be an excellent money saver for everyday, casual printing... if only the printer recognized the cartridge as full. As it is, this is a high maintenance process if you want to keep your cartridges from becoming useless.I give this product a "So-So" rating. It depends on how much TLC you want to give your printer.

Saved Me A Lot of Money
I bought the black InkTec refill and the color InkTec refill on amazon. The only thing I did not like was that they were sold by different companies so one I got 2 day shipping with amazon prime and the other I did not, but not a big deal.I bought the 60xl black and 60xl color (the xl's are supposed to give twice the amount of ink and prints as the regular 60s) the other day from a store in my local area and both of them together cost me $125 (almost the cost of the printer). I vowed never to do that again. After printing about 35 pages (front and back of the page)with about 35 to 40 percent full color coverage each page and the rest just regular black text the color ink told me i needed ink and the level showed less than 20 percent remaining on the color. The black still had about 70 percent remaining, but I thought that this was ridiculous how little color you can print with these expensive inks so I looked online for refills and found a lot of them and decided to go with the InkTec ones. When I got them, I followed the directions in print and did the process at the same time as watching the refill video for this product on YouTube. The process was very simple and you don't need any tools other than the ones they send you in the box. It was not messy at all, I did not even need to use the gloves they sent. After refilling both inks, I placed them back in the printer and the printer would not recognize the cartridges and told me there were no cartridges installed. I thought that this was going to turn out to be a disaster because I remembered reading the reviews before buying and someone else had the same problem. I turned the printer off and back on and the inks were instantly recognized. Next, I did the cartridge cleaning process like they recommended and I also aligned the cartridges with the hp software. After this they were printing fine and I could not see any difference between these and the regular hp inks. The only thing is that on the refilled inks your pc will not be able to give you the level of the inks anymore, it will tell you that it cant read the ink level, I knew this before buying and its really not a big deal. Once you refill the inks before the sponge inside dries out I think you will be fine.I will never pay for regular inks again, this way I am paying about $2 for a full refill of both inks whereas with the original hp inks I am paying $125. I wish more people would try this and not submit to the scare tactics employed by these big printer companies to try and stop you from refilling inks so that they can charge you an arm and a leg for them. That's where they are really making the money, not from the printers, it's from the inks. Keep your old cartridges, refill them before they run out and when you go into the store and they say oh do you want to drop your old cartridges in the recycling box over there, don't do it, they know if you don't have the cartridge then you can't refill it. That's why I kept all my cartridges when they asked me. You won't void your warranty (I researched it and it's illegal for them to void your warranty for using refilled inks) and you won't see any noticeable difference in the quality.

its ok a little messy and you have to refill ...
its ok a little messy and you have to refill as soon as possible otherwise the cartridge dries out inside ther is some kind of sponge inside the ink cartridge that will get hard and not absorb the ink if you wait too long

Ink refills
The ink works as well as the original ink, and the kit they send in the package is simple to use. You just snap the ink cartridge in the holder and put in the right color ink and your ready to go.InkTec Refill Kit for HP 60 and 60XL Color Ink Cartridges

Saved lots of $$$$$$$$$
Refilling your cartridges is just the greatest thing ever.. I created a 300 page stamp album, in color, every stamp made in the US!! I refilled several times.. figured I saved well over $200 in new cartridges.. Ya have to be very careful you don't mess up the dios on the cartridge itself.. But this is great! Highly recommend.....

HP doesn't allow refilling!!
My printer would not allow me to refill the ink cartridges. It really screwed up everything and I couldn't even copy... I'd never buy refills ever again.
