Update: NarPump customer service contacted me asking if I would like a refund. I suggested a replacement pump instead. The replacement pump arrived quickly and is working great.This worked great for the last seven months. Very quiet. Water flow is great. I have other pumps that make a lot of noise and do not pump as much is this silent pump. This pump was great until last night. It stated sputtering, just running for a second or so and cutting off. Then it just quit working. I charged it overnight thinking the battery was low. Still not working. I tried to turn on and off child lock. No lights on the top anymore. It was great while it lasted.

I bought this about 8 months ago and use it to dispense water from a 5 gallon water bottle when I'm at the office. I finally decided to charge it, this past weekend, because it wasn't dispensing the normal jet of water that it usually does. That's when a great little device went south quickly. Let me tell you why I loved this thing...It's crazy fast. My gravity-fed water cooler/heater at home can't touch the speed with which this thing pumps water into my water bottle or cup. The jet of water is possibly louder than the pump, so I say the pump is quiet enough.If your 5 gallon bottle has any kind of cap or plastic fitting on the opening, then rip it off and this fits snugly on top. I wouldn't trust it on its side and even less rolling around in the back of my car - it pops off quite easily if I try to pull on it, but seems to make an air-tight seal when it's on.The pump includes an interesting hose and wider thing at the bottom end of the hose. I'm not sure, but the pump may be in the wider part at the bottom, but it doesn't matter. It will dispense down to the last 1/4 inch or less. I pour the last little bit out of the bottle and then move the pump to the next bottle.I was skeptical about this brand since I wasn't familiar with them and wasn't sure what to expect of the quality, but I was a fan... until I recharged it.After recharging for the first time, even leaving it attached to the USB charger doesn’t help. It won't fill up my water bottle more than a few seconds before it acts like the battery is low and stops on its own. Useless.Honestly, if this product didn’t have a battery or if I could use it with it just being plugged in, then it would be awesome. But, instead, it worked great for a few months, then I used it as a lid for the bottle, and now it’s a pile of trash on my desk. I don’t see any indication on the instructions or packaging of a way to contact the company - only that it was imported from China by some company out of the UK. I’m not sure how other people got in touch with customer service, but I would expect that a replacement would only do the same thing, anyway. A wired model would be a nice alternative.

Update 2023-12-24----------------------------------------------------------------------------I did get a response to my original review from the manufacturer and they were quick to point out that the unit may have had its child lock engaged, which is engaged and disengaged by holding the button for three seconds. While I can't verify that the original unit had that issue, I had ordered a replacement that seemed broken out of the box until I disengaged the child lock and now it's working perfectly.This goes back to being my the best pump I've found.----------------------------------------------------------------------------I thought this was the best pump I've found. It's super fast and super quiet. The only things that I had any issue with were that it doesn't actually sit on a 5 gallon bottle snugly and that it needs some kind of extension hose to make it easier to fill bottles.That was my opinion until today, 5 months and 12 days after purchase, the pump has just stopped working. I have left it to charge for hours, the light stops blinking that it's charging and stays solid after a few minutes, and yet it simply does not work anymore. I use this pump to pull distilled water from 5 gallon bottles as this is more convenient than buying a bunch of throw-away bottles. That said, I need it tonight for a CPAP and the pump is no longer functional.There's also no way to reach the company as any attempts to get help direct me to the Amazon help portal that just says that there's no recourse as it's past the 60 day purchase period.
