Our old bleeder had been in place since 1978, and was well stuck in with old paint and a bit of plumber's tape. This tool worked, though it took a leather glove and a fair bit of gently applied and re-applied force, so it didn't deform the corners of the tool - they survived in tact. Although I didn't see it in the amazon entry, there is a hole drilled in the end to fit over the small bleed nut.
