Bought this for my boyfriend, as a surprise. Sadly to find out he had already bought this set. It arrived in perfect condition. He is debating if he wants to open this one to make his own deck out of both sets, or to just leave them closed on one of his book shelves. I knew he loved the Doctor who commander deck so I felt it wasnt a loss.

This is more than just Dr Who names slapped onto Magic cards (like some of the other franchised MTG sets). The individual cards and different decks really evoke the theme of the source material, and have references to the entire series that show that the card designers actually know and love the series.

Awesome commander decks

The Magic: The Gathering - Doctor Who Commander Set is a fantastic addition to any Magic collection. It's a fun and engaging way to experience the world of Doctor Who in a new way, and the unique mechanics and stunning artwork make it a joy to play and collect. I personally bought this set for collecting MTG sets. Value for money is great, I think. The shipping box wasn't beat up too bad so the the sets look beautiful.

A must have for the Magic and Whovian hybrids. Got this on a Prime Day deal even though I already had 3 of the decks. Still a solid value since I can trade the extras or just use the cards I other decks. The entire Doctor Who set is contained in these 4 decks and is the only way to guarantee a copy of each card. Wonderful design from a Whovian MtG player!

With all 4 Commander decks, you do receive doctors 1-13 plus the War and Fugitive Doctors.Only problem I found was that Doctors 4, 10 and 13 are only the Foil enhanced versions and I would prefer to ALSO have non-foils to Play with.You do get special 2 card boosters of the rarer versions, but mine included a foil 9th doctor and a standard 6th Doctor just like in the commander set.While Booster Packs are available, It is confusing if you would get those 3 cards as non-foil in them, Luck of the draw!
