Great watch good size as not too big and keeps good time

This Seiko 5 Sports SKX looks wonderful with its Teal Blue/Turquoise face.It simply looks wonderful.The second thing it has going for it is that Seiko brand.It's a double whammy for Seiko and stylish watch fans alike.It looks stunning in the photographs but when you open the box it almost takes your breath away.Be prepared for compliments when you wear this watch when out and about.Why Seiko took so long in releasing this little beauty in this colour combination is a mystery to me. (There are three other colour combinations in the same make)I am by no means a watch expert but I will try to explain the features of this watch.Its full title is 'Seiko Sport 5 Midi 38mm Turquoise SRPK33K1 Steel Unisex Automatic'.It is smaller than the regular Seikos and I suspect this is to attract women to the style.At its heart is an excellent 4R36 automatic movement.When worn it can have a 41 hour power reserve so the correct day and date are maintained.It is a watch designed to be worn every day.The calibre movement has the regulation, hard wearing 24 jewels. It is accurate but if you are unlucky to get one that isn't I'd change it 'Toot Sweet' and get a replacement.I believe the design is a copy of the range and models from 1985 but up dated.The bezel is good and clicks well as you turn it and it alligns perfectly.A niggle is the adjusting knob which lacks the Seiko S. This is a shame for such an otherwise classy looking watch. Whilst were on that subject I found it really hard to adjust to the correct time and the day date was even harder. It's too small and stiff for me and I've manage to break a couple of nails in the process.The strap is a bit of a let down. It does look good but the 'feel' of the steel is not great. It has hollow links but is easily changed. Many do but many switch back simply because the strap does its job well. A word of warning if you have really big wrists you may find that the strap will not fit and you will have to get a bigger one. (Perhaps the unisex design reduced the size). I had to take 3 links out of mine to get a good fit.It is always better to get a jeweller to do this for you unless you have the tools yourself.There are only two adjustment holes on the clasp. Which means you may have a problem getting a good fit.Niggles for me are the lack of attention to quality with the strap and adjustment knob.Otherwise a simply stunning looking beautiful watch that you will be proud to own.Thank you for reading.

Such a good looking Seiko. The dial colour popped really well. Loved looking at it. Really like the contrasty hands in gold. But unfortunately for me it just felt small on my wrist.

Nice watch, but the dial needs to be a 40 mm

Llego antes de lo previsto.Lo único malo es que no dura mucho iluminando después de que te quedas en completa oscuridad. En cuanto a diseño está muy padre.

Adpete de la skx007 mais avec un petit poignet, ce modèle est top. Certes la couronne n'est pas vissée mais c'est finalement pratique au quotidien pour utiliser le remontoir. Et je ne plonge pas à 200m. Le cadran turquoise est magnifique, les index en relief ressortent très bien. Les aiguilles dorées peuvent surprendre mais cette couleur leur va très bien. Seul bémol, l'insert de lunette sans bille à midi. Dommage mais on peut facilement le remplacer. Bracelet correct mais je l'ai remplacé par une aftermarket jubilee, tout comme le fond vitré par une version plus fine mais pleine.
