Schutt Fielder's Guard Softball Face Mask for Fast Pitch Softball

LOVE IT! There were so many options out there and I was a little worried about chosing the right one. Thanks to responses from other reviewers, I purchased this one and my daughter loves it. We had first hand experience with the "community" rip it mask so I didn't want to get that. All the girls were fussing with the chin pad that kept coming off. Strangely, it's a velcro piece just like the Schutt, but the Schutt chin piece is much more secure. We've used it for a month and not once did it fall off. My daughter noted that the chin piece looked like it was going to feel rough, but when she put it on, she said it was really comfortable. The RIP-IT piece seems a bit softer like the texture of additional pads you would use inside a bike helmet. The Schutt looks stiffer, but is perfectly comfortable.We got the youth for my 8yo and it fits her really well. She's got some room to grow in it as well.

Nice sturdy frame gives my daughter more confidence while playing the infield.Comes in lots of color choices which is important to a 9 year old girl.Good visibility from the sides.This is our first season with it so we will have to wait and see how it holds up but I like the fact that it will adjust so I can potentially use it for more than one season.My softball mom friends also highly recommend this mask which is why we went with it.

We have had a number of Schutt Sports Products (mostly catchers gear)....all have been of high quality. And when we did have a concern, it was addressed quickly and completely by the Schutt CSR Representative (can't say te same of Wilson Sports). Our 15 year old fastpitch catcher is now having the occasion to play an infield position at the HS Varsity level and during weekend long Tournaments, so for safety sake, we bought this mask. We believe that the metal cage of the mask is much safer than the plastic styles. We expect that it will hold up as good as all the other "Schutt products that we have purchased. The prices for the mask were similar at all the outlets. So it was the convience of Amazon and they're good service that brought us to buy online. I would recommend this product (and any 'Schutt' product)to everyone.

Gets the job done!! My 15 year old third base girl wears this and it's saved her fave a couple of times from some hard line drives. She says its comfortable to wear and not heavy at all. Good view area so she doesn't feel restricted. If it protects her face it's worth every penny!!

Overall quality is there. It’s not as lightweight as other brands but my daughter chose this because of fit and comfort - for reference she is the size of a 6 year old. The chin piece will be a problem if you don’t secure. The sticky backing on the Velcro doesn’t hold well and the chin piece will eventually fall off. Ours came with an extra chin piece. Highly suggest you use sewing thread to keep the chin piece and Velcro together. This is the Diamond pink, the color comes from glitter not paint - lots of sparkle.

Kept my daughter (almost 7) safe during softball season. She said it's comfortable to wear even during all the action of the games. She was not hit in the face, fortunately, but this item was not expensive and gave us peace of mind. It's strong, and will last her for many seasons to come. I'm planning to buy another when my son joins baseball next year.

I recently had a line drive to the face during a softball game - I am the pitcher for my team. After several weeks of recovery from a fractured orbital and fractured sinuses, I really wanted to play again. I knew that I needed to protect myself. After looking and researching several different masks, I decided on this one. I have to say it was a great decision. I have my confidence back on the field. It provides complete line-of-sight with no obstructions. It fits comfortably on my head. I have no reservations about playing again. I have had several line drives come back at me and I have had no problems fielding and catching the ball.GREAT MASK!

Nothing to complain about, arrived on time, packaged well! Fit my 9y/o perfect! She plays fastpitch softball so this fielders mask is a MUST HAVE!!! we picked the silver and it is an amazing matte type silver. I bought it before fall season last year and here we are playing spring ball and the only reason you can tell its not new at this point is because shes worn it, thrown it down, and gave it hell. We have had ZERO problems...love that she can put her ponytail through it!!!
