This works so well. It makes easy work of small branches. My backyard gets overrun with weeds that basically grow into trees. I call them weed trees. This made such easy work of them. But it's a little scary to use, it's easy to get going fast and get on a roll. It's very satisfying how easily it cuts, but you really need to make sure your other hand holding the branch is far away from the cutter. This cutter has some serious power and the cut happens fast. Go slow and take your time getting into position. If you need to hold the branch, keep your fingers and hand at a good distance.One thing I will note is that when you pull the trigger there is a spark or flash of light that you can see from the back. I didn't know if it was normal or not so I contacted the company and was informed that it was normal.

This pruner has made yard work so much easier. I like the way I can use the lever to release the trigger with one hand and get to pruning. My hand doesn't get sore as it was starting to do with regular pruning shears. I wear safety glasses when I use it in case a branch bounces back. It works just as well on both live and dead wood. Makes pruning easy as I only need one tool for both thinner and thicker branches.

Mine worked great, I use it a lot. I have a lot of trees and do a lot of trimming, some weeks filling 5 or 6 large yard waste containers. This tool makes it very easy to chop up the yard waste for disposal. The power is good enough to cut up fairly large branches.

My yard has become overgrown with small trees that love to volunteer. I actually strained my right hand from hours of use with a regular trimmer because there is SO much to cut. That's why I researched powered trimmers. I chose this one since I already have some of the other B&D 20v MAX tools so have an array of batteries.I am blown away by how well this works! It effortlessly cuts through good-sized branches and small trees that would have been much too large for the manual trimmer and using the reciprocating saw was always jarring (and required more grip strength from me). While this is on the heavy side, I find I have no problem supporting the bottom where the battery is with one hand while squeezing the trigger with the other. The trigger requires almost no pressure which is great for me, but you should also be mindful of where the blades are because i could see where this would easily sever a finger.10/10 recommend! My only regret is not buying one sooner.UPDATE: One year into using this, it began making a loud clicking/banging sound. It has a two-year warranty so I contacted Black & Decker (no easy feat as their customer service was hard to connect with). Once I did reach a human, they were pleasant and once I submitted my receipt and a couple of photos of the tool, they said they were shipping out a replacement. This was great as I was thinking I’d have to mail it in for repair and wait. I had the new replacement in my hands within a week - and they even included a battery!I’m not sure if this is a common issue with this pruner or if I just got a wonky one. Either way, B&D stood behind it.

I bought this to trim hackberry out of my crinum lilies and trim Crepe Myrtle shoots. It’s sharp and easy to use. I’m very happy with this tool.

This is alittle heavy. But if you prop it up you can easily cut alot. I used it for palm fronds. Its a great tool.

So I bought property with a wooded section that had been totally neglected for many years. This pruner was a life saver. Much quicker and easier than my long-handles lopper and much more powerful than my hand clipper for those mid-sized (1/4 - 1 inch branches. Musta squeezed the trigger a thousand times with a flawless clean cut every time. If it dies tomorrow, I will still consider it money well spent!

This is a lightweight clipper with very good rechargeable battery length. I was able to fill 8 lawn bags with clippings in half a day and used the clipper for several more days before needing to recharge the battery. Before buying this clipper, I went through at least one pair of hand clippers a summer and hired extra help for yard trimming. This will pay for itself in no time and leave my hands pain free!Great quality and functionality. Feels very safe, and has a safety mechanism to lock the blade ensuring you do not clip something by making stake.
