These are really nice for buffing a surface to a medium shine, after you've prepped it with other, heavier-grit abrasives. Perfect for irregular surfaces which might otherwise require a lot of finger-cramping reciprocation for thirty minutes or more.They tend to be exhausted quick quickly if you are working with anything other than smooth, soft metal, which makes them a little less economical than I would like. If you use a light touch, they'll survive a couple small jobs. Make sure you have the EZ-adapter for the dremel before you purchase.Important note is to use eye protection and a face mask when using these. They don't throw metal wires like cheap wire wheels do, but they do throw up a very fine dust of metal and abrasive. For me this provokes my allergies and I end up watery-eyed and congested for an hour or so, unless I wear the protection. May not be an issue for you, but I can't imagine that stuff is healthful to breath in.Not economic, but effective enough that I would recommend them.

This is the best bit Dremel ever invented to remove corrosion and rust. And I've sued Dremel bit/tools for 50yrs. Only caveat is that it's expensive and wears fast. There is a companion bit that is less abrasive that I like to finish with. They are sold separately or in the same packaging.....your choice.

I just wanted to probably restate this is a genuine product from DREMEL, it came in the small plastic package like you'd find at the hardware store, packed in an envelope. It came with the 2 finishing buffers, model 512E. Exactly what I ordered. Very convenient, as the hardware store is a 45 minute drive from my house, and without a car, Prime delivery in 2 days is amazing.

I have an EZ Lock, so I bought these to remove some surface rust off the steel handlebar of an old bike. Worked OK, but one buff was completely consumed in doing the handlebar. Only surface rust.

Like super quick.But awesome for cleaning off something small like rust on tools.But man...they wear down quick.

These are great. Follow the break in instructions and these will last 20% longer than if you don't, and to say these last approx 5 mins overall every second counts! But they are perfect for stripping paint and refinishing spun furniture legs. I was beside myself with what to do with the intricate legs on an old end table until I found these. Turned out great!

This tool is a godsend for using with my SmileDirect aligners. I don't think they would be bearable without this tool. The plastic on the aligners is usually too long and rough around the edges and this very nicely smooths them out so that they are not poking and cutting up my mouth. I've used it to adjust every pair and it makes a huge difference. If you get aligners definitely get this!

Good product

They work pretty well in getting into tight areas. I found that they didn't last that long. I was using them to sand the teeth on a wooden escapement wheel and they didn't last sanding 30 teeth. I tried various speeds but that didn't help. Also as they wear down they spew particles all over so put a back guard behind to contain the mess. A sheet of cardboard will do. If I did it by hand it would have taken a lot longer so the few dollars spent are likely worth it.
