Q: will it be ok to use to replace roman blind cord

Hi Sandra. It depends on the design of your Roman blind. If it's a traditional one and you pull multiple cords then I'm sure it'll be OK. Is the bottom of the blind weighted? whereas if it's a 'commercial' type, with a top rail mechanism more like a roller blind, then it might be a bit on the heavy side. I replaced recently had much thinner cords on it, although this cord would probably still have worked. Good luck.

Q: Are the 2mm cable replacement cables easy to replace as ours has snapped after nearly 30 years!!!

It will depend on the make of curtain rail you have and whether there is a string at both ends, one for each curtain or one looped string that controls both curtains. - You have to unhook the curtains and take the rail down off the wall to do the job and then it is a matter of feeding both the string ends through the rollers and along the track to the carriage that opens and closes the curtains. Some carriages have a hole that the string is tied to, others have a pin that holds the end of the string in place. Hopefully when you take it down and see how the string has been fed through the rail it will be obvious how to re-string them.

Q: How do you know if you need 2mm or the 3mm cord. My Swish track is about 25 years old.

Hi really you should measure it but most curtain tracks are 3mm . 2mm is more commonly used on blinds
