Morphy Richards Accents Digital Sear and Stew Slow Cooker 6.5L 461005 Red Slowcooker

excellent product. people kept telling me to get one as i have young children and work mid week so did not always have the time/energy to cook a decent meal. not sure how i have survived so long without one! i often come home after a hard day at work hangry yes thats right hangry. however, because i now have one of these beauties i come back to a beautiful smelling home and a cooked meal! the inner pot is amazing as you can cook on the hob (gets very hot so use oven gloves) , place back in the slow cooker (to continue cooking) and plonk on the table (still hot though so be careful) when ready to serve (i dont actually do this cause of the young children but one day when they stop trying to injure themselves I will). the inner pot is so easy to clean as well. as a family of 2.3 children the bigger size was plenty. got this at a bargain price but would pay more/retail price if were to replace. looks very good in my kitchen. i feel like a domestic goddess!

I really love this slow cooker, wish I had brought this one first (I had to return another Morphy Richards design before finding this one). I don`t sear meat in the pot, but that is nothing to do with the product (I have an induction hob and I prefer to use a separate skillet to brown meat). Over all this slow cooker cooks meals beautifully, no problems with sticking and I don't have any problem with liquid building up around the lid as others have mentioned in their reviews. I prefer the digital controls over the manual timer, easy to select functions and cooking times. Like the auto keep warm function that kicks in after cooking has finished. Super easy to clean, so easy in fact I just wash the pot and lid by hand not worth putting it in the dishwasher even though it says you can. I would definitely recommend this product.

I love the fact the pot goes on the hob which makes life much easier! Only moan is the timer - won't let you just do an hour on high then rest on on low which some of my recipes ask for. I never usually leave it on when I'm out for hours so not too much of an issue for me! Washes really well as non stick - huge pot too so great for parties and batch cooking. Overall very happy with purchase and great price too.

I purchased this product for my daughter and son in law for Christmas. They both go out to work every day and have to cook a meal on returning in the evening. I thought a slow cooker would be ideal as they could prepare a meal before setting off to work and have a lovely cooked meal ready on returning home. I chose the digital controlled model slow cooker because it gives them more control over the cooking period and it has the advantage of keeping the food hot once the cooking program has completed. This was important for them as there is always the uncertainty of the time they return home. They have since told me that they have used the slow cooker several times with great success and as it's the 6.5L model they have been able to cook enough food to have meals they can freeze and just heat up another day. All in all I think my present has been a great success and I can recommend it to anyone else in a similar situation where cooking is concerned.

Right so you are working your ass off in the week, come home late and really cant be bothered to cook anything. Pfft, with this you can follow a recipe online for anything cooked in a slow cooker, set it to the temperature it should be cooked at and for how long. This cooker will follow your commands and when its done cooking it will also keep the food hot ensuring you come home to a delicious hot meal when youve finished a long day at work. Because of the size of it you can ensure that your entire family comes home to a delicious hot meal, so much room. We are going to make dinner great again, its going to be huge.

Fantastic Slow Cooker - I've cooked casseroles, BBQ pulled pork which was delicious, rice pudding and loads more.I have a induction hob which the inner pot doesn't work on, but works on all other hobs, this doesn't bother me as sear in pan before if needed or play crafty and use a induction heat transfer plate then put the pot on top.It has a large inner ceramic cookin pot which feeds a good sized family plus seconds, even for those big hearty meal eaters!Well packaged and fast delivery.

Really not happy with this purchase, it spits all over the place which I didn't know so it has ruined my oiled oak worktops.. quite honestly rubbish.On the high setting there is a minimum cook time of 4 hours. On low there is a minimum time of 6 hours..it bubbles out of the top and the glass lid is quite loose? The only plus is that it can sear foods on gas first and it looks good on the kitchen side but that's as far as it goes I'm afraid. Such a shame.

It's a lovely size, works really well, and doesn't seem to let the food dry out like out last cheap one.The sear dish is a great idea, but awkard to handle once it's hot, and needs two hands on it to lift.You'll also have to be a little careful if you move it while on, it's easy to cathc the inner dish, and not the handle.The settings are a little too basic though. No real choice. You have high for 4 or 8 hours, or low for 2, or warm.I would have loved a long slow setting, for leaving on all day low, then turning up when you get in, or need it quicker.It does well at what it shoudl though, and the food has always turned out with good results, nicely cooked.

Der Sear&Stew von Morphy Richards ist wirklich genial. Das Anbraten in diesem Slowcooker funktioniert ohne Probleme, was natürlich ein wenig an Abwasch spart. Sehr überrascht war ich, als mein SlowCooker nach der eingegebenen Zeit sich durch einen Piepton bemerkbar machte und mir somit anzeigte, das die von mir vorgegebene Zeit abgelaufen war. Das von mir zubereitete Essen war wie gewünscht, das Fleisch zart und saftig und vor allem sehr aromatisch. Vom Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis her, würde ich wirklich jedem diesen Slow Cooker empfehlen.Ich fand es zwar für das von mir ausgesuchte Gericht etwas unpraktisch, dass ich nicht 8 Stunden High einstellen konnte, da ich nach 4 Stunden das Gargut aber eh wenden sollte,war es nicht ganz so hinderlich. Ich bin sehr froh, dass ich diesen Slow Cooker bestellt habe.

Für uns drei Personen reicht eigentlich der 3,5l Crockpot, den ich auch über Amazon bestellt habe. Aber falls der Braten, das Pulled Pork doch mal etwas größer ausfällt, ist diese Größe supi. Ich habe mir hierin schon mein Knuspermüsli selber gemacht, da weiß ich was drin ist, besser und günstiger wie das fertig gekaufte.

Der Schmortopf ist nicht als solcher zu benutzen, da der Boden so dünn und verbogen ist das er auf der Herdplatte keinen festen Stand bekommt.Der Garer funktioniert einwandfrei. Allerdings muss ich die Zutaten in einer normalen Pfanne anbraten und dann umschütten. Hätte mich im nachhinein besser für einen Keramiktopf entschieden.

Oft im Gebrauch. Genial diese Erfindung.
