Great upgrade
Brilliant, upgraded from an older model which has the float and it was a pain! This just simply works in my garden sump.

Another great product from Karcher
I had a big flood in my garden and bought a cheaper pump which I had to return as it could not be submerged in water. I then bought this one which was twice as expensive but I was understandably in a panic! This pump is brilliant and cleared the flood in under an hour. I had to buy a hose to go with it, as I read that using a hosepipe isn't ideal. In my opinion the additional hose is a necessity. This pump sucks up dirty water no problem at all, and any debris gets caught in the built in filter. This may not be an item I use very often, but very handy to have in your garage as when you need it you really do need it!

My saviour in a sump pump?
Build quality seems great. I tested the pump in a large container of water, it worked very well. The flow pressure seems strong and is good enough to work with those "flat hose" pipes that you can buy as an extra. The mains cable length is great (10m) and the rotating outlet pipe with clip connection makes it very easy to hook up. The 'Auto' water depth sensor is adjustable and works very well, an ingenious idea that does away with the usual 'float' system. I bought the pump to act as an emergency sump pump in my garden, in case of heavy rain. It sits in its hole waiting to save my bungalow from flooding. So far, it has not been required, so I can't award the full 5 points until it has been fully tested (in real-world conditions), but I hope it will save me from being flooded out of my house, for the third time!
