Swan SP25010SN Retro Stand Mixer, with 4.2L S/S Mixing Bowl - Includes Dough Hook, Beater and Whisk, 600w, Silver

I’m so disappointed in this product. I made my daughters birthday cup cakes for her nursery yesterday. I put in two 250g packs of butter in the bowl, however, the beater doesn’t reach the bottom of the bowl to move it around, once it’s initially stuck around the bowl, unless I put pressure downwards on the top of the whole unit which then lowers the beater which is reduculous. I’m thinking I might have a faulty unit but will be making my daughters birthday cake tomorrow so giving it another go then.

My mum has had a food mixer for as long as I can remember (58 years)) and I have always wanted one. Saw this item loved the colour and the price. Swan are a good brand. Once ingredients are whisked I have to lift the whisk end up and mix by hand as the whisk does not go near the bottom of the bowl or the sides. Also the maximum speed is not high enough to whisk meringues. I have made two cakes but instead of being quicker than my hand whisk its takes considerably longer.Please can you let e know how to return and get my money back as this does not perform as well as I wanted it too.

Finally used this two months after purchaseI've used the whisk and dough hook and no issues at all. No residue in the mixing bowl as the hook got to every part of the bowl

I have never had one of these before and now I wonder why. Looks great and works great. It's super easy to use and clean. Wish I could buy another bowl as two would be very useful.

Very pleased with my mixer. Easy to use, makes great bread and cakes. I have used all 3 attachments and find it picks up all the mixture in the bowl - which is a criticism for some makes of mixer. Good solid piece of equipment and looks very nice in the kitchen. Only hiccup was that it had no instruction booklet with it. I contacted Swan who were very helpful and sent me an electronic copy.

lovely item to look at. but because the shape of bowl and blade not reaching bottom of bowl it was not mixing my cake batter properly which then my cakes were not rising proper when I tried twice. I sending it back and buy a different one

A brilliant mixer. Does exactly as advertised. I have made everything from cake mix to pizza dough and it has never faltered.Easy set up easy use and honestly for price it completely exceeded my expectations.
