Life Saver!
This pack is awesome! It holds plenty of water for our weekend hikes. We’re in Southern California and it gets hot, water is vital when the trails have little to no shade... I overheat easy and this pack is, not to be dramatic, a life saver! It’s slim so I don’t feel like I’m wearing a huge backpack but holds 3L of water! We add electrolytes and just make sure to clean thoroughly after each use. Yes, you do need to be careful that the lid threads correctly but I check it after closing & have never had a leaking issue on a hike. The pack has a pocket that‘s not huge but large enough to hold my keys, wallet, a protein bar or 2 & my phone. There is also a space between the pocket and main area that is adjustable and I have a little first aid bag in there. I highly recommend this pack!

Great backpack for Road Cycling.
I have a Columbia small backpack that I use with 50oz Cammelback when skiing in the winter with an insulated hose, need the insulation otherwise it freezes unless adding alcohol, but had a problem I road cycle and the backpack is just to large for that, so I purchased this version. The number one reason is the hose is DETACHABLE, which is not the case on some of the other models. Also the big 3l reservoir has a baffle inside of it to keep the water from sloshing from side to side, which is helpful. The detachable hose was a must for me as I can swap it out for the insulated hose I have or use the smaller reservoir with this backpack. The backpack is great for cycling not that bulky has both chest cross strap and waist cross strap so the backpack does not slide around when ridding. There are also extra pockets in the lower half which are great for storing keys a credit card or two, patch kit or wallet while ridding. I am very happy with this and like it better than the Rogue model I had a few years ago, as the extra zippered pocket on the bottom does not really add any weight but extends the utility of the backpack. I also tried some other models but they did not have the detachable hose which as mentioned before is very versatile, giving the ability to switch out hoses or bags and makes cleaning and drying much easier.I would also recommend the drying hanger by Cammelback that holds the open so air can get in and dry out the bladder and has an attachment for the hose too.

Great size for cycling!
Most new pack style hydration packs are designed with too much storage for my taste as a cycling pack. This was for cycling not backpacking so I wanted something for lots of cold water over storage.Storage on this was just enough and I really like the extra storage behind the lower pocket. I can put my glasses case and my cellphone in there, snug down the straps, good to go.Only ding is it would be nice if the tube for drinking was about an inch longer. Found I had to tuck my head down a bit to much to easily drink but not a deal breaker. Very nicely made with well thought out inner pockets.

Decent pack
I have several older camelbaks and must say I am not sure why they put the top pouch inside and right against the reservoir plastic handle. My older one had the pouch on the outside and did not feel like it was going to crush whatever you placed in it. Even my key fob doesn't feel like it will be good due to the reservoir opening. The drinking tube feels a little short. I have pulled it out but it seems to need another few inches. If I just grab it to get water out I will pinch the tube when I bend it so not sure what is going on. Overall the pack holds the items I need for a half day hike or bike ride and the expandable middle pouch is a plus like my old one for placing additional items.

Slim and works.
Worked great at EDC! It's not huge and bulky allowing you to move around. Yet stores enough water for a good night of partying. Ended up removing the original bladder for a bladder I use exclusively with the dog. Now he has fresh water on our walks!

Nice upgrade
This replaces a 7-year old blue Camelbak that was perfect in all respects except the bladder's filling port. The new one has a GREAT twist-seal to fill the bladder. The mouthpiece also has a nice valve to permit it to pass fluid when sucked on but can be switched off when you don't want leakage. The only drawback is that this Bak is much smaller in load carrying capacity than my old blue one. The designers did a fantastic job of improving the design in many respects.

Great product. Very light
Great product. Very light, worked as you'd hope. Good fit on my shoulders. I cut away the pouch/pocket to reduce weight. Tip: to keep this clean, I rinse it out, and store it in the freezer to prevent mold.

Great for those long gravel rides in the mountains!
My goal was to have a lightweight, minimalist hydration pack that would help get me to a 6-hour gravel ride on the forest service roads in the area. The 100 oz. pack plus one water bottle on the bike puts me comfortably in this range. The two storage compartments allow for the snacks and shedding clothes as the temps warm up. I don’t even notice I’m wearing it when I ride, stays in place during high speed descents. Just what I was looking for. 👍🏼

Very good - highly recommend!
First of all I would just like to note that this bag is actually called Camelbak Ratchet if trying to search elsewhere for it.Upon first impressions this is a very good hydration backpack. In the images the bag looks quite long however I am only 5 ft 1 and find it to be quite comfortable and not too long at all. And even with the full 3L of water on my back it feels like nothing. The adjustable chest/waist straps also make it perfect for cycling. It also has surprisingly more storage space than I expected. However, one tip if you are like me and dont need the full 3L of water, you can fill the bag with only 1.5-2L of water and this gives you space to store some items in the reservoir compartment which isnt normally possible when filled with the full 3L.I dont believe the bag is waterproof (although I haven't tested it in the rain yet) however I always carry small dry bags with me anyway just incase so I can to protect any electronics etc.Overall, I would highly recommend this pack, especially given the price. Before buying this I was about to buy the Camelbak Rogue which is much smaller and about £16 more expensive so I'm glad I found this one!
