It fits correctly, don't lose your temper or patience đź‘Ť
Belt appeared to be way too small at the beginning, but after taking my time it fit just right and is worked fine since I've installed it. I guarantee you will have no issue as long as you take your time and get the belt on correctly.

Did not fit
Upon installation, realize this thing could never fit no matter how much I tried to stretch it (it doesn’t stretch) not a tight fit, but a very impossible fit.

Install
Appeared too short for a washing machine belt but it was the right one! A little difficult to put on.

Like people say, it’s tight
I used 3/8” socket to remove the 3 cover screws. I put the belt grooves on the small pulley first, then held a flat head screw driver to guide the belt around the big pulley while rotating the big pulley clockwise (same as tightening direction) with a 9/16” socket wrench. I held the screw driver at a slight angle so it doesn’t pop off the big pulley as it gets tighter. It slid right on as it rotated around. Then I rotated the pulleys manually to make sure the belt was aligned properly. Put the cover back on. So far, so good!

This item is too short for a GE Washer. Do not buy, use part number WH01X27538 and not WH01X24697.
Ordered Part Number WH01X24697 and we could not install it on the two pulleys or our GE washing machine, as this new belt was way too short and too tight to be installed. We immediately returned this belt back to Amazon and ordered Part Number WH01X27538 instead. This belt fit perfectly. Buy this belt instead.
