Maine Furniture Co. Vermont Shabby Chic French Style Blanket Box or Storage Chest in Distressed White

Very nice product although it was flat packed and mainly MDF which it was supposed to be wood and made up. A couple of scuffs on 2 of the legs. Very pleased with the design.

It's not "wood" as the description claims: It's mostly MDF, with a few bits of wood in the frame.Nor is it hand made by skilled craftsmen: it's flat-packed, and if any "skilled craftsmen" were involved in making it, they must have been drunk at the time! I had to leave out one of the (twelve) screws that hold the carcass together, because the holes it was supposed to pass through simply did not line up.The paintwork was distressing, rather than distressed -- at least three different shades of white, ranging from almost magnolia to a pale silvery grey -- and the front panel had obviously been packed before the glue was dry, because the heart motif has been pushed out of out of position, leaving a trail of glue (now rock-solid, of course) to show where had been.With a bit of work (re-drilling the screw hole in the right place, removing the motif, rubbing down the glue trail, and repainting) it will probably turn out OK. But hardly worth the effort and definitely not worth the price.Disappointing.

Had to send it back as one of the panels had a split right through the wood. Not sure it was worth the cost!

Very nice piece of furniture

I love this storage box, it’s got good space perfect as a toy box or blanket storage. Fits nicely at the end of the bed. Only thing the slow closing spring thing ripped out after closing the lid For for first time and won’t go back in. It’s not 100% soild wood it’s EMF with a few bits of wood.
