What does this oil actually do to the wood

it seals wood worktops & chopping boards. it protect the wood from water to stop the wood splitting, you need to put 3 coats on & repeat it every few months, very easy to do

Can this be used for items that will have direct contact with food or chopping boards spoons etc

I haven’t tried that but I would try it on old bit of wood, I might give it a try myself
