Q: Will it get rid of airborne molds and mycotoxins

Yes. Mold spores are typically 3-40 microns in diameter. The particle filter on this machine will effectively capture particles in that range. However, it's important that you don't rely on a portable air purifier as a means eliminate mold exposure. Source elimination is the solution for mold in your living space.

Q: Why should anybody buy this when the replacement filters are unavailable?

The replacement filters for the GC MultiGas are currently not available through Amazon. Please contact IQAir directly for details on how to purchase replacement filters as they are readily available.

Q: I just got mine and it has filled the house with a lemon/vanilla smell that's making me dizzy and stuffy. Will this go away?

I just had an appointment with an indoor air quality specialist today and he told me that the reason why some IQAir units have issues with releasing odors is because they are stored improperly and then they absorb the odors of other things. This is not an air cleaner that you want to restrict... It needs room to work. Best I have owned and I've had many... Great even on the smoggiest day LA has to offer... Even was was great during a fire season that burned a few miles from my house.
