Pretty much perfect. Just needs 1 liner to be skelotonized.
This knife manages to be better than a civivi and at less price. The biggest thing this knife does that civivi does not do. The liner is fully on the blade. It is just fully on the blade, but it is fully on the blade. It is not a situation where 90 percent or 80 percent of the liner is on the blade and the rest hangs off to the side, as is standard and unacceptable on civivi knives. The blade is high quality for this price 440C steel. The knife is sharp out of the box. Blade deployment is smooth. Blade is a good shape for small utility. Thumb stud is well placed. Blade flicks out confidently. The only thing that I hope the manufacturer will do with this design which will make me buy a bunch of these. SKELETONIZE THE REVERSE LINER. keep the liner contacting the blade the same, but cut out most of the opposite liner. In my opinion it does not need to be there except where it meets the mounting hardware for the handle and around the edges for the handle. If the knifemaker did that it would remove so much weight from the knife and make this truly outstanding. I hope they will do this in a followup version of the knife as it is already a really great design. The knife I bought this knife to replace has similar dimensions, but it's just lighter. It has far inferior steel and quality, but just fits the pockets better and is effortless to carry. If this knife was lighter it would be better than what I am using it to replace in every way.Overall, this was a great knife. Great value. Excellent utility. Very happy with my purchase

On par with much more expensive knives
I didn’t have much to spend on a new EDC, so I did a lot of looking around and landed on this knife. I’ve never heard of QSP, but it seemed to be a solid knife for the price with good reviews. So I gave it a chance, and I’m glad I did. After only having the knife a couple days, it has already become my favorite EDC....hands down.Pros:- The 440C is a respectable steel, and it really seems that QSP has done the heat treatment right. It definitely seems that they have brought the best out of the steel. Razor sharp out of the box, and a beautiful shine.- Very clean and accurate grind.- The G10 handle is always a nice simple choice and look. I went with the green, love it. It is a nice solid G10 that’s thick enough to give a good grip and strength, but still sleek.- Brass bushings. Definitely a nice surprise from a knife in this price point. I usually see the plastic bushings in this category. This makes for a smooth action pretty much out of the box with minimal ‘break-in’ time.- Perfect spacing when knife is closed.- Strong belt clip, reversible for you lefties.- low profile but easy to use blade lock.Cons:- The handle is a little short for my hands. I added a small lanyard and problem solved. Because of the shape/design I would say a lanyard is a smart add-on to keep from slipping.I am very happy with this knife and am excited to try another from QSP to see if they are consistently good, maybe if they have a Butterfly knife.

Does what it should, not bad for the price.
Nice knife, like the grind. Handle is a bit chunky for the size of the knife. It's more noticable since the blade is nice and slim. Would rate it 5 stars if the handle wasn't so thick compared to the blade. Other than that, it's a knife. Came sharp, cuts what I need it too. Love that it's a tip up carry.

One of the best values on Amazon
Remarkable fit, finish and quality for a knife at this price point. It is clear why so many knife experts on YouTube rave about this one. Razor sharp blade on par with my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and Benchmade Mini Barrage, and the blade is more centered on my QSP than either of them. It is a very discreet blade that doesn't scream murder weapon when you break it out in public. Similar design as a Benchmade Bugout. Very light with a minimal footprint and good quality clip. Action is smooth with zero play in the lockup. I bought it planning to use it as a beater, but it's much nicer than I expected.Update: Pictured next to a BM Bugout. I dyed the scales on both with RIT Scarlet for a less military/ tactical look. The Parrot scales spent 10 minutes simmering in 1/2 packet of powdered RIT, a quart of water, and a pint of white vinegar. Came out deep burgundy, almost brown. Gorgeous.

Outstanding value for the $$
I’m pretty new to the knife world and have been looking for cheaper knives to just get my feet wet and practice sharpening. The previous reviews and some YouTube reviews I’ve seen were right. This is an outstanding value for $20. The size is perfect for me at just over 7” total. The handle material is not too rough or too smooth, just right. Blade shape is nice and came in pretty sharp. The blade is centered when closed. There is no play when locked open. Movement is smooth. The clip isn’t deep carry though but I like how the tension isn’t super strong. I don’t have to pry it open to just get it over my pocket fabric but it still stays in place. Super impressed. I would’ve expected double the cost for this quality honestly. Quality could be compared to if not better than a couple 30-40 dollar Kershaws I have. Definitely recommend if looking for an inexpensive beater.

This is a very nice knife, but a bit larger than I expected and is bulky in your pocket.

High Value EDC Pocket Knife
Dollar for dollar, the QSP Parrot is nearly unmatched in value. I have had this knife since September of 2018. Since then, I've used it as my edc blade most of the time. It sits in my pocket nicely and the clip allows for left pocket carry. 440 is no super steel, but it works really well for everyday tasks like opening boxes, cutting up fruit, and foraging for wild edibles. With daily use, it stays "scary sharp" for a little over a week and gets right back to that with less than 5 minutes on the strop. It's a tough, reliable, handy knife to have around. I highly recommend it.
