Little Giant Advanced Egg Incubator Combo Kit

I have had my incubator for less than a year now and have hached out over 150 chicken . it came with the automatic egg turner . I have never had chicken before or any other animals and their equipment works flawless . with the instruction manual there was never any questions about how to use it . on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being the easiest to use . it was a2 very simple .

It ran great for 5 days and for some reason on the sixth day, the day my eggs arrived, the heating element went out. I have no clue why but the Incubator Warehouse sent me out a new one for free. I love the egg turner!! Much less time consuming than turning them!!

I think my incubator was just a dud. I don't recommend this kit either. The hydrometer/thermometer is inaccurate. It says it has reliable temperature control, but it doesn't. It goes up to 110 degrees during the night. When I turn it down just a little, it falls all the way to 90 degrees. It has killed almost all of my eggs. I will be trying to get a refund for this product. I am disappointing because I bought this seeing how others really liked it.

Too hard to keep it at 99.5. I lost a whole incubator full of eggs because it was 99.5 and next thing I knew it went to 110 for no reason. Tried it again and the same thing happened. You couldn't give me another one.

I purchased the Little Giant Incubator for my first time hatch. I wanted something reliable without spending a ton of money. I was a little leery about buying a styrofoam incubator, but thought I'd take a chance. First I have to say that it's a lot bigger than I expected. Not a problem--I could set more eggs. When it arrived, I set it up as directed, plugged it in and waited for it to heat. In a couple of hours, I checked and it was not getting warmer. I thought that maybe it took a while, so I went to bed and checked it in the morning. It wasn't warm at all. I thought I'd have to send it back, but I figured I'd take the heating element apart to look at the wires before I did that, and lo and behold one of the wires was not connected. After a quick fix, I plugged it in again and it heated immediately. The worst thing about this incubator is that it is very difficult to make very small changes in the temperature as you are trying to regulate it. My recommendation is to use a very small screwdriver (instead of your fingers) to turn the knob, as it seems easier to move it a fraction this way. However, once I was able to get it to the temperature I wanted, I was surprised to find that it did, in fact, maintain that temperature fairly well. The egg turner is great. Placing the humidity meter is tricky, as it can easily get caught between the racks and break the automatic turner even with careful placement. It worked best standing between the eggs. I had set 22 eggs. At first candling, I found that only 9 of them were fertile. At lockdown, and re-candling, it looked like one of the 9 wasn't viable. All of the other 8 hatched. Pretty good hatch rate! A couple more suggestions: If using paper towel at the bottom of the incubator, do not let it get wet when you are trying to keep the humidity up during lock-down. The chicks have a hard time with this. Also, once the hatch starts, watch the temp and humidity, as it does start to fluctuate. So, all in all, this is a good incubator with some drawbacks. I would probably buy it again.

It's a good product, although I rather go for preset items instead of mounting them myself. The watts are not specified in the egg turner.

Not only does this thing LEAK (you can only fill it with a little bit of water). Piece of crap does NOT hold temperature well, and after dealing with it for a month, I ordered a Janoel which is 100 times better (and only a few buck more) than this piece of crap. I now only put the eggs in the one for the last few days to hatch them....Will change that out too soon.....
