Durable but not efficient
The pedals are not able to move very fast engaging in a quality exercise for kids. My daughter gets bored quickly at how slow her legs are required to move. One issue is the lack of ability to adjust the tension/motion on this. Also, for the age range you would be able to use it probably not worth the money. She would get an actual workout and spend some energy better on our adult elliptical when she is a little bit taller. It was a nice distraction and allowed her to feel as if she was exercising with Mommy, but as stated above didn’t last long.

This is so awesome and very durable, the monitor on it is super cool just need 1 AAA battery.

Better idea than purchase
Doesn't work nearly as well as we hoped. Pedals stick and the digital readout isnt accurate.

avoid, it's impossible to contac the manufacturer if you need support
mine broke after a few uses. It's impossible to get a hold of the manufacturer. Amazon has no info on them. I got lucky and bought the extended warranty, so I might be able to get it fixed once the "manufacturer" warranty expires and the extended kicks in
