This model does have a temperate gauge. What would make it more efficient is if the top grid could lift up more so that food is evenly cooked. Usually the food slides up to the edge (bread or meat trialled) and has to be either turned around or pushed back. The George Foreman models never had that problem. Additionally, if the griddle plated could be easily removed, that would be more practical for washing.

Works well. Haven’t grilled veggies on it yet but grilled sandwiches, tofu and bread.Worked well so far. Was a little smaller than expected. The temperature control does work for the toast but less for other things. So we always use it turned up. I’m hoping the ceramic coating won’t chip (seems well made so far). Super easy to clean.

I love this health grill. First one I've had that I can control the heat. I did at first think that everything was going to slide off but my son pointed out that the lid was moveable so I just needed to tilt it slightly over thick things like chicken breasts. Have mainly used my last one's for toasties but have done lots of things on this. I also find it easy to clean.

I bought this to replace an old Tefal one that had finally burned out, and chose Salter as it's a reputable brand. Unfortunately I didn't pay enough attention to the design before buying it, because when it arrived I found that the plates are permanently fixed to the grill, so they cannot be removed to clean them. This has to be one of the worst designs imaginable, as it is virtually impossible to get the plates clean. I would therefore not recommend this grill.

I thought I am going to use this once a week but so far been using it every day...from veggies to filled up pita bread, tortillas, or grilled fish and halloumi cheese....it is a brilliant product, and easy to clean...i just wipe with paper towel and it comes off....happy I bought it
